These boots are outstanding. I've worn out three pairs and am happy to have my fourth on hand. Light weight, good ankle support, no "break in period required" and they accomodate orthotic inserts well. The waterproof feature is top notch. Traction is good in rain and snow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes feel comfortable and supportive. I do a lot of walking at work, hopefully they can handle the work load.
This is my 3rd pair of this same hiking boot. My first pair I mainly used for hiking or outdoors or gong to the store, etc., and used in winter time (sometimes) when driving a school bus and walking in thee snow and slush. My 2nd pair I used for hiking and found that when I did not need my steel toed work boots that these worked well working in and my feet did not sweat like they do in the work boots. This 3rd pair will use for hiking and other walking needs while I still get some more mileage out of the 2nd pair as work and gardening shoes. Thank you for a quality product
Best boots! Very warm and comfortable, and they look great, too. They run larger, so I got a 1/2 size lower. Perfect fit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased these boots as a gift for my Dad three times now, he loves them. He uses them as daily boots and work boots and every couple years asks for them for his birthday. Says they fit great and hold up well.
Looking for a light duty hiking boot to wear for a vacation. I have looked many brands of boots with different purposes and at varying price points. After my search, my conclusions brought me to the decision that I would be using these not for alpine ascents, but for a one week vacation on the west coast and for walking my dogs. These columbia boots seem to fulfill that need well and the price point was attractive as well. I am hoping they last through the end of the year, but if they don't that's ok as well. My expectations are low and I am hoping they exceed them. I am rating them 5 stars as they fit well and so far as I break them in there are no issues.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits great and has good tread. Bought these to wear as everyday shoes and so far they have held up great. Our other Columbia products have also stood the test of time and was pleased to see the boots are doing the same.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work at a job that requires all black boots. These work perfect for me, I'm on my feet most of the day 7 hrs, and my feet are never sore or hurting. I'm a 13 W and flat footed. No inserts ever. They last about 6 months with the amount of wear and tear, I'm very pleased with this specific boot. Thank you, Columbia!
Great smooth leather boots (so far). Bought them (Nov 2022) to replace a pair of Columbia "Newton Ridge" boots in suede leather (2021). The suede tore on the the left boot (outer side). Thankfully, they were still under warranty. Mailed them back to Columbia, & I got refunded because they couldn't be repaired. Note, on the Columbia website the diagonal strip at the heel of these boots has a smokey blue-gray tint. But when I received them the diagonal strip is actually smokey black. I realize this is a minor issue & doesn't impact the boot's quality. Lastly, I purposely bought a 1/2 size larger (11.5 D vs 11 D) because I find that Columbia boots & shoes tend to run a little small.
I've owned two pairs of these. They are comfortable, they look OK, and the waterproofing works well against light-duty wettings. However, the soles aren't durable. I don't even use these for hiking or outdoor tasks like yardwork, as it would wear them out in a few months. I only wear them indoors at home and for shopping/errands, and still each pair only lasted 2 years. I recommend that Columbia use a different sole, like the one on their old Techlite Titanium outdoor boots.
