[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2nd pair purchased, Mountain and Sage Heather. Both are comfortable, light, and have a clean look that I can use for casual wear, or for a hike. They've become my go to shorts this summer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for shorts to wear backpacking. I usually wear boardshorts to hike in but often they lack pockets. These shorts have 4 good pockets and dry quickly. Additionally, no need for a belt which is great when wearing a backpack. I would buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband picked these out to try because he was looking for a lighter/cooler summer short but not too thin. It has the perfect fabric for the warmer months. The length is great. He is normally a large, but found these run a little big. We purchased both a large and a medium, and he prefers how the medium fits. The large one did tear a bit at the seam around the drawstring as he was trying to pull it tighter because it is larger. However he was really tugging at it. We came back to purchase a few more in different colors!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are perfect for daily summer use. Very lightweight, comfortable, and stylish. They have a nice zippered pocket on the thigh for your wallet and the hand pockets are deep enough for your phone. Although they are light they do stay in place nicely. Some light weight shorts move around too much especially if items are in the pockets - these do not. The only issue is the City Gray Heather has a greenish color to it. It's more green than gray. Not a deal breaker but if you are expecting gray, you might be surprised.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband said that these are very lightweight and comfortable. Perfect for hanging out around the house and in our backyard. My husband is 6'4” and the length on the larges was perfect. We thought the XL would be a better fit but when they came we realized that would be too big and exchanged them for larges.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very nice shorts. They fit me very well, are just the right length and look great. I normally wear size 2XL but sometimes XL on pants that tend to run big. These fit like XL should but I wouldn't want them any tighter. Columbia seems to have held the line on sizing instead making their pants larger to try to keep up with the ever increasing girth of the population as a whole like some manufacturers have done. If you are on the edge between sizes it might be best to go with the larger size. Construction seems to be good as with most Columbia products I have. By far my favorite feature is the right front zip pocket. No more having to stuff my wallet in my front pocket with all the other keys and change. Brilliant! I like them so much I have ordered three other pairs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really comfortable shorts. Unfortunately they run a bit large so the pair I bought are really only useful as lounge shorts. I'm considering buying another pair though!
Bought a pair for my husband and bought a second pair for my son. They can wear them to do most anything in this nice weather.
My husband loves these shorts and owns two pairs. Unfortunately his second pair ripped almost immediately at the elastic part of the waist. He still wears them but it is unfortunate.
I don't know what the product designer was thinking when they made the waist so incredibly high on these shorts. You either have to wear them around your navel to get the right inseam or you have the crotch of the shorts hanging 2/3 of the way to your knees. Material barely stretches at all, and it certainly doesn't breathe.
