Holy Cow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought Lonesome Dove was excellent. The actors in this movie were so close to the characters in Lonesome Dove. It was like really looking at Call and Macrae when they were young. Their mannerisms, were exactly like Jones, and, Duval. See this movie, it's well worth the money and the time. You'll watch this and then go back to Lonesome Dove over and over again. I did.

larry mcmurtry is a great storyteller, this movie is faithful to the book.

COMANCHE MOON SECOND CHAPTER
If you care for Westerns, you will thoroughly enjoy this movie. It's very accurate of how things must have been for people back in that era from what I have read in other books.

SUPER WESTERN !!!
IF YOU LIKED "LONESOME DOVE",YOU WILL REALLY ENJOY THIS MOVIE. WE WATCHED "COMANCHE MOON",THEN WENT BACK AND WATCHED "LONESOME DOVE" AND "RETURN TO LONESOME DOVE". WHAT AN AWSOME SET TO WATCH, BACK TO BACK. EVEN MY COWGIRL GRANDDAUGHTERS LOVE THIS SET. "I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND "COMANCHE MOON" FOR ANY AGE.CAN HARDLY WAIT TO SEE IF THERE IS YET ANOTHER CONTINUATION TO "LONESOME DOVE".

Explains a lot of what happened in the Lonesome Dove movies. Really like them.

I recomend this if you have interest in the Lonesome Dove series. Comanche Moon is the second part of the series and its excellently done.

Great Entertainment in today's world
I totally agree that Steve Zahn is great and I really loved this western. I grew up with Bonanza, Have gun will travel, etc. and we don't have enough westerns today. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This movie was GREAT!!! Steve Zahn plays a great Woodrow. The best since the original Woodrow (Robert Duvall). This is a must for the Lonesome Dove fans.

Good movie, not a perfect match to the original...
The acting was good, and the story-line followed along the lines of the original 'Lonesome Dove' but the characters were too young for the time that they were supposed to represent, and there were other issues (ie- Capt. Call was a lot taller than Gus- but not in original, Jake wasn't taller, but was in original, etc.) It's well acted and the story was good- even filling in some of the missing info, just don't expect the characters to match the first installment too closely. That said, Val Kilmer did an excellent job & the movie was well worth the money. I would buy it again!
