COMFORT GRIP CAN OPENER (Pack of 1)

After trying another brand of manual can opener, I went back to SwingAWay - the best I've ever used. It's just very disappointing that Walmart no longer stocks these in store - they have to be shipped instead. I suppose I should just order from Amazon!

Handle large enough to allow easy turning when cutting out lids. Gripping handles are comfortable, and cutting blade easily penetrates can lid as you begin the cutting process. Tried a hands free can opener and found that they don't work well on various types of cans, and despite the 20$ plus prices, they aren't very durable. I previously bought 2 similar cutters from Swing Away over 20 years ago, and I'm still using one of them for daily needs. I bought this can opener for my parents because of my experience with this brand of cutter.

Love the old fashioned way of opening a can. I have had this brand can opener for over 50 years. Hopefully these new ones last as long.

Swing-away is the only brand of can opener I will buy. When I was on a mission trip we had a number of can openers at our disposal. None of them worked well at all. There was even a heavy duty institutional one mounted to the countertop. I took the initiative to go buy a working can opener. I got three and they all worked perfectly. We were feeding 150 or more people three times a day. They were a blessing for us and we left them in the facility because they needed them badly!

This can opener is the best. swing-a-way really knows how to make a can opener.

Mine finally wore out after 15 years! They do make a smaller one if that would be helpful. This is the only can opener in my house.

The only brand to buy for handheld can opener. I've had mine for 20 years, and bought this one for a friend.

the last one i bought the handles came off and did not open the cans at all. had to go around the can 3 times to open. the first time i used it. a merchant not wmart store refused a refund. glad this one is better

Order came soon within days of ordering, I,ve wore out a couple of openers in the past few months that I don't use much because they were cheap! We have a swingaway thats in the kitchen that we have been using for a couple of years now and it still works, hope this one I use holds up as well!
