Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen boasts a strong 4.7-star average rating, indicating high overall customer satisfaction. Users consistently praise its effectiveness in protecting against sun damage, with many highlighting its gentle formula suitable even for sensitive skin. The unique color-changing bottle is also a frequently mentioned positive feature.
While overwhelmingly positive, a small number of reviews express concern that the sunscreen isn't solely mineral-based as initially suggested by the packaging. Some customers also mentioned a preference for spray sunscreens over lotions, particularly for children. However, these concerns are relatively minor compared to the large volume of positive feedback.
Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen is ideal for individuals seeking effective, dermatologist-recommended sun protection, especially those with sensitive skin. The product's ease of application and economical use make it a practical choice for families and frequent outdoor enthusiasts.
Verified purchasers consistently echo the positive sentiments expressed in the overall reviews. They particularly highlight the sunscreen's effectiveness, gentle formula, and the innovative color-changing bottle. The verified purchase reviews further solidify the high level of customer satisfaction with Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen.
Blue Lizard's upcoming suncare product represents a significant advancement in broad-spectrum protection. This formulation utilizes a unique mineral-based sunscreen technology, offering superior protection against both UVA and UVB rays while remaining gentle on even the most sensitive skin. Unlike many chemical sunscreens, this product avoids potentially irritating ingredients, making it ideal for individuals prone to reactions or those seeking a truly hypoallergenic option. The innovative formula is designed for lightweight application, leaving no chalky residue and absorbing quickly for comfortable all-day wear. Its commitment to reef-friendly ingredients further distinguishes it, aligning with a growing concern for environmental sustainability. This product promises effective sun protection without compromising on skin health or environmental responsibility.
This new release builds upon Blue Lizard's established reputation for high-quality mineral sunscreens, but it takes things a step further. While other Blue Lizard products offer excellent protection, this upcoming product prioritizes a uniquely lightweight and non-greasy texture, addressing a common complaint about mineral sunscreens. This makes it particularly suitable for those who find traditional mineral sunscreens too heavy or difficult to apply. The improved formula also focuses on enhanced water resistance, ensuring lasting protection during swimming or other water activities.
Consider this Blue Lizard suncare product if you prioritize effective, gentle sun protection with a lightweight feel. It's a particularly good choice for those with sensitive skin or who prefer mineral sunscreens but find traditional formulations too heavy. If water resistance is a key factor, this product's enhanced formula may be preferable to other options. Before use, always check the product label for complete ingredient information and usage instructions.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dermatologist recommends this sunscreen exclusively and for many great reasons. There are no perfumes, which means no skin issues for me. I love that it's zinc based and provides me peace of mind when I'm out in the sun. The bottle turns color when exposed to the sun's harmful rays, which is a great reminder to apply again! Would definitely recommend.
I am very happy with this sunscreen. It worked well. I haven't shopped for it yet to look at price but if it is comparable to our normal sunscreen in price, I will buy it again. we typically prefer the spray sunscreen for our kids but on vacations where it's really hot, I feel like a lotion is more reliable for longevity. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It takes so little of this sunscreen to cover your whole body. Totally worth the price since it goes so far. I thought it was a little thin and that I would actually end up burning. It was worth the risk to find out it worked superbly. Will buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was always looking for a good skin screen as I have a sensitive skin and got hands on this one and it worked great for my skin I had no sensitivity great product I must say. And I would definitely recommend this to people who think the sunscreen gives irritation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family is outside a lot and we always put on sunscreen year round. We have sunscreen in every bag and every vehicle. With so much sunscreen use I have concerns about using sunscreen with Oxybenzone so frequently, especially for my young children. I have found that using sunscreen with only Zinc Oxide was not great for us during the hotter Texas months, possibly due to sweating? So I was excited to try this out. This sunscreen gets a better rating than regular sunscreens from EWG so that a big plus. I felt that it worked better than using Zinc Oxide alone, but still have not found a total equal to the protection we get from Oxybenzone sunscreens. I'm not sure if this is attributable to user application, or intensity of the Texas summer sun, or what. Using this all day at the beach with plenty of reapplying, we got a little pink. So I think I will stick with Oxybenzone for extreme sun beach days and use this as more of a daily sunscreen to keep us protected. At first I thought the blue changing bottle was a joke because it turned blue in the shade and I thought it was triggered more by heat than harmful UV rays. But when it turned white after being in the super hot car under a towel, that made me realize the blue was working and I've been really underestimating the amount of UV reflection we are getting even in the shade! So I think it's a great feature to bring more awareness!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was interested in trying Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen as it is an active mineral-based sunscreen per the packaging. Once I received the sunscreen, there is a small types stamp stating "combining mineral and chemical UV protectors" on the box. It is clearly added as an afterthought, as it is not part of the actual packaging. I was very disappointed, as I only use mineral sunblock for health and safety reasons, and while I appreciate that Blue Lizard does not include oxydenzone or octinoxate, it still includes octocrylene. Because of this chemical inclusion, I will not use this product as I try to avoid chemical sunscreens which absorb the harmful UV days. As I can not use this product since it is not a pure mineral sunblock as the packaging indicates, I am unable to provide a review of the products efficacy. I would not recommend Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen as their packaging is misleading and they do not offer a pure mineral sunblock.
