This has been a classic snow shovel for thirty years. It is Heavy plastic with a metal bottom edge riveted on for years of use.

I haven't had a chance to use this shovel yet. (thank goodness!). However, I am replacing two other shovels I have. It has every feature I knew I wanted. The shovel is the right shape for clearing snow, and has the metal strip that I need for scraping my driveway clear. I don't usually get alot of snow, so I almost never need a large scoop. This snow shovel will be perfect for clearing a few inches of snow from my drive and sidewalks.

It seems to be sturdy... We've gotten a lot of heavy wet snow that finally broke my old shovel. While I know this one won't last forever, I expect it will hold up for several years.

This is a nice shovel, and I get why the handle is metal. However, when you're shoveling and it's frigid cold, the metal handle makes your hands cold three times as quickly. If only there was some type of rubber wrap, or coating on it I'd give it 5 stars. Other than that the shovel is nice and if you don't mind your hands freezing while you're shoveling, or you have way warmer gloves than I do, then you'll like this purchase. As a side note, we actually bought this to replace a cheaper blue plastic shovel that broke at the blade while trying to scrape snow. Loved that shovel - it was light weight and the handle was plastic (this part did NOT break).
