Had this pool for a couple of years. Gave it away because we thought we wanted a larger version. The 15' was more difficult to set up and level on our ground. That extra 3' was just too much for our yard. Gave that one away and back with the 12'. Roomy enough for 2 to float or 4 to splash around.
This our second easy set pool. We love this size because of the ease of use. My wife and I are both over 60 and do not climb ladders. This pool makes it easy because we can just step over the side and get in. We don't lose much water this way. The water helps relieve all the aches and pains that those of us at this age tend to have. We love it. Just be sure to have it on nearly level ground or the pool will empty itself. We did learn that one the hard way.
Well, where do I begin? All I can say is wow! Yes it's a small pool but i've got a small area outside the back door right in front of the brick steps leading down. The Pool is extreamly east to set up and I mean quick too, less than 10 minutes time i've got the garden hose running and filling it. While the pool is filling I connect the inlet and outlet hose lines to the Pool and Filter Pump, while it's filling I run a drop cord to an outdoor electrical outlet. While it's filling I go to the store and get some cold beer, come back to the house and hop in the Pool. Very thick durable liner that looks like tile. I love it! I'm a customer writing this review not some chump at a corporation!
This is our fourth or fifth Intex Pool over 20 years We bought one Summer Escape pool and it didn't even compare in durability. If taken down and washed correctly it can be used over and over. I like the height because I can just step into it in my shorts and walk around in it without suiting up. Tip: If setting up the following year ~ inflate the tube and make sure there are no leaks before filling with water.
I ordered 2 pools...one for my home and for my son's home for my 6 year old granddaughter. Pool setup was easy. Got the pool cover and am so glad I did. The cover is easy with 2 people to put on and take off. It makes the water at least 8 degrees warmer. My granddaughter and I both love it.
This is our second Intex Pool. The first one is 8' by 30" and was just right for two years. This year we decided to add the filter system. We found that it was a better deal to buy a pool with the filtering system included. The 12' by 30" was the best deal. One of our granddaughters has tried it out and Loves it. When we get our second granddaughter there will be two very happy kids!
It's amazing that these big bags of water work as a pool...but they do! We found a level spot in the yard and laid a tarp down first. It was very easy to set up. We're really enjoying it and looking forward to adding the salt-water system to it.
Sadly, I wish they were more durable...But they make a great pool for the grandkids' visits, and a nice little soaker for Grampa and Grandma's cocktail hour!! Enough room to stretch out and move around. I use regular household bleach for chlorine as well. I buy a cover at the end of the season and have just let it freeze and thaw.
I was disappointed; after we filled the ring with air & began filling up the pool with water, when the water reached about 3/4's, the ring portion of the pool pulled away on the inside of the pool, thus causing a leak. We returned it to Wal-Mart & they were VERY helpful & understanding.
When we set up this pool our grandson was SO excited, but that soon faded. There was a hole in the side of the pool on the outside wall. Also, let me say we have had an above ground pool (18x24) before and my husband is a self employed contractor, so he definitely knows something about setup! After wasting countless gallons of water, the hole has been patched, but is still leaking slightly. We will be lucky if this thing lasts a month :(
