I used this hook to hang a wreath over a mirror (over the fireplace). Worked great. Our guests just couldn't figure out how it was hanging on the mirror so nicely. We finally said "Command Brand". I like that it is Damage-Free, holds strongly, and can be removed cleanly. This hook is wonderful. It looks so much nicer than the white plastic ones. More upscale. Although the regular hooks are great, these offer a more decorative solution to the home or office. My powder room door used to have an old, wooden, dowel-style hook we inherited with the house. It was never terribly sturdy. If you hung a towel or a robe on it, you may have to pick those items up off the floor when the door was opened. The dowel had been reattached to its base with every kind of glue imaginable. When we had to redo the room because of a flood I decided it was time to update the hook as well. This oil rubbed bronze metal hook adds a touch of elegance to my powder room and can handle heavy items. 3M gave me this product to evaluate. I use a lot of the hooks in my home but usually in a closet or cabinet. This attractive Bronze Metal Hook is perfect for placing it in a highly visible area. I'm using it to hang a pair of sunglasses near my door so I can grab them on the way out or hang them back up when I return. I can always find them and they doesn't take space on the table. 3M sent me this hook as a sample to review. When it arrived I was imp,dressed with the finish on it.It can be used in many rooms of the house and it will be perfect. I used it in my kitchen now to hang my pot holders where they are in easy reach of the oven. I could also see it in the entry to hang coats, hats, ect...The only thing that I change about it is to make it hold more than three pounds so I could use it on my front door to hold wreaths and other decorations. I would like to preface this product was sent to me by 3M to review. I like that this is heavy, and it looks great. Doesn't look, or feel cheap, which is a plus. Wish it could hold more weight, though. The only problem with these 3M hooks, though they do hold the weight stated on the package, if you're house isn't cool enough during hot days (like having the air conditioner on when you're not home, for example), the adhesive loosens and either falls off, or gives, thereby damaging the paint on the wall, or breaking things you have hung up.
