The outdoor light clips are awesome. I used them to put up some lights for Valentine's Day and they worked great. I'll keep them up and use them again for future holiday lights. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy that I decided to replace the light hooks that I had with the 3M Command out door light hooks. Within a month of using them we had hurricane forced winds tearing through the area. Everything in the yard was blown around except the lights. Thanks 3M for making yet another great product.

We purchased these clips to use on our shed last year for the Christmas lights so we didn't have to use a ladder for the gutters. Wasn't sure if they would stick and stay on while being exposed to our brutal, cold winters here in Iowa. Not only did they stay on for the holiday and the rest of the winter, but we had a Derecho - an inland hurricane of 140 MPH winds - trees, power lines, traffic signals, and more came down and were destroyed - but our clips are right where they were originally placed and can still hold lights! If that isn't holding power, I don't know what is!

I followed all the instructions, have smooth surfaces, used alcohol to clean the surface, waiting over an hour to hang, and they still came unstuck after the first day, kind of a waste of money, adhesive needs to be stronger!

This is the biggest scam ever. It ain't THAT HARD to sell a product that actually works - or at least make sure your stock isn't dry. This is a big company, adding clear and useful instructions to your packages won't kill you. Great job 3M! Your marketing sucks, just as any other cheap company.

Soooo dissssapointed: I bought the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips and installed them (one every 2.5 feet) on the horizontal surface (not vertical) of my wood gallery (inside the gallery) to fix light del christmas lights and after the 1st rain they all fell down!

I bought these to hang string lights INDOORS, and they wouldn't even stay up in my bedroom. I followed directions perfectly every time but the adhesive has failed multiple times. From the string lights falling due to the faulty command hooks, they have broken multiple of the glass bulbs. At this point, I'm just biting the bullet and putting tacks in the wall. I am in sheer disbelief at how poor this product is— do yourself a favor and don't waste the money. I will never purchase a command hook product again, for the sake of the things I am hanging.

I've been trying to use these to hang string lights on my porch and they objectively do not work. Despite following the instructions to the letter, I haven't had a single one successfully stick. I've tried different surfaces (i.e. the vinyl siding, the wood rafters/ceiling). I've gone through half of the sticky strips that came in the package and don't have any hooks to show for it. Even though I leave them up for the recommended amount of time before trying to hang lights (and I've tried leaving them up for lots longer than the recommended time, too, just in case), they come off with the slightest pressure, like the pressure required to put the cord in the clip. I'm very frustrated at the waste of money here.
