Very inexpensive always gets the job done

I bought these Command Hanging Strips to hang my picture frames and they worked great! I was able to hang the picture exactly where I wanted it without making nail holes all over my wall. I love these strips! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I recently received a free 4 Pack of these from 3M. I was always skeptical about these because they look week to me. I thought that a nail or tack was always going to be better than something like this. After getting the free package and trying them out for myself...I have to say that I'm in love! We currently rent...and are about to move. I wish I had thought to use these the entire time that we lived in this house...because going over and filling in holes from nails and tacks is terrible. I'm in a rental. Not wanting to do damage, I looked for picture hanging strips to try. Of course, I didn't read the directions and my first family picture fell. After I applied the strips following the directions, my wall of family pictures looks beautiful! My children are grown and gone so pictures of my family are awesome. I needed to hang my sister's painting; it was an unframed canvas and she had been bugging me to send a pic of it on the wall. I finally decided to use the 3M solution and now it is proudly mounted on the wall next to the fireplace...and my sister loves it that I have it up! When I moved in my place a couple years ago I used them for hanging everything. They were great and held things for about a year. But then all the pictures started falling. I went and bought more and I'm not sure if the second pack was defective or what but they weren't as sticky and everything I hung literally fell the same day I hung it

Instead of installing a single nail, you have to line up 4 separate super-sticky things exactly level. one sttrip wouldn't stick to wall and two of the three pictures I hung, I was unable to pull them off to adjust or ensure that strips would stick.

For us, this product does not work as advertised. We used for two different objects and neither lasted more than three months, sending the photos crashing to the ground. Then, when we went to remove the adhesive strips, it pulled the paint off the wall. Crappy product.

I bought a value pack of these and I can't get the backing off of the adhesive! The adhesive part is so stuck to the back that the whole thing becomes mangled and some of them pulled right off the Velcro! They would not hold my items on the wall when I finally did get it to work!
