I was replacing one that had come off the wall after about 2 yrs, so they did work fairly well. I am only giving a 4 because my wall hanging did break. They are however the only flat self stick hangers that are flat and have a hook on them which is what I needed. I would recommend.

At first I fell in love with these hooks! The stainless steel looked sturdier and much more classy than the white plastic hooks. The command hooks say they dont peel off paint or damage your wall but after about a month the hook flopped over peeling the pain off the surface. Nothing even remotely heavy was being hung on it too. Just a small, very lightweight day backpack that was empty. Very disappointed in these hooks, especially considering they were around $12 and last didn't last more than a month

I REALLY wanted these to be great! I mean, Command is a big name, and usually they're good! But… these were horrible! First of all, the strip covering the sticky for the “wall” part wouldn't not remove without pulling the sticky off itself. Second of all, once you got it off, the wall part wouldn't stick at all. We ended up using double sided tape on our hooks to make them work.

I got several packs of these hooks for Christmas and used them to put up patio lights. Followed all the directions to install them and they only lasted 3 months. All but one popped off. Now I have to figure out how to scape off the backing to re-apply new adhesive backing. This happens with ALL Command hooks-they only stick a short time.

I have a freshly cleaned, smooth, normal, painted drywall surface and these are not sticky enough to stick to the wall without moving. No I did not put too much weight on them. I didn't even try to hang anything yet. These move around with the slightest touch the moment they are on the wall. Also the tab that sticks up looks really bad and is not sticking to the wall. The adhesive is not strong enough. I'm very disappointed that I wasted the money on two packs of these. Command products usually hold up well.
