About two years ago, a friend gave me a bag of Evangeline blend to try. Since then it has been my favorite coffee. With the exception of occasionally trying other Community Cofee roasts, my daily coffee is ground Evangeline. I also keep whole bean Evangeline to grind and brew for dinner parties and other special occasions. I like rich, dark roasts that are very full and rich; but I also want them to have balance, with some brightness and acidity. Community Coffee’s Evangeline blend provides all that and it does so consistently.
Evangeline blend is right any time. A smooth flavor that's coffee, but a little bit more than coffee. Words may fail me in this review, but your taste buds will clear everything up when you try some. Evangeline Blend is special coffee that you can enjoy every day.
When we left Louisiana years ago, the one thing we swore we would not give up and order ( this was before you could buy in local stores outside Louisiana ) was Community Coffee... at the time we were drinking Dark Roast. We still do, but with aging taste buds have come to prefer Evangeline for a smoooth cup of coffee. This is our habit we won't give up!!!!!
Like most folks from the south I don’t function well until I have my morning coffee and not any will work. Community Evangeline Blend is my all time favorite and since I’m retired and travel I keep the RV loaded. Works great in the French press. Keep up the good work and I also love the auto delivery function.
I love a good dark roast coffee and Community has just that. I love the Community dark roast as my go to coffee. After trying this Evangeline blend, it's a tie! Evangeline has a good strong flavor, no bitterness or aftertaste. You will be as happy with this choice of coffee as I have been.
I love this coffee! I first tried it when my friends and I were in New Orleans a couple of years ago. The hotel we we're staying in had it as their house blend. The waitress was kind enough to give me a package to take home. Friends would send it to me from Louisiana but I bought online this time. The shipping and exchange make it a bit expensive but it is a nice treat.
Exciting flavorful taste, yet not what I remember as a child. Maybe because I've omitted the sugar and cow's milk. It's an occasional celebration of the good old days type of coffee. The more I drink it the more I can appreciate the roasters, and my family in Grand Isle.
I've been testing out the different flavors of Community Coffee trying to find the one I had during a recent visit to MS and this was on my rotation list. It's not the flavor I was looking for. It's still pretty good but I don't think I'll order it again. My top two are the Louisiana blend and the whole bean Breakfast blend.
This was good, but not anything spectacular for me. I ordered this with several I had not previously tried- Guatemala, Mexico, Pecan Praline and of course some of the old standbys. Out of them all I actually prefer the Guatemala overall. Everyone's taste buds are different!
I'd had such hopes for Community Coffee after having it so highly recommended. But I was very disappointed by both the flavor and strength. I had to use several extra scoops per pot to achieve the strength I was looking for. Even then, the flavor was a bit on the bland side.
