Was easy to use and sets up quickly. I bought it to repair cracked and loose furnace bricks on my outdoor fireplace. It says it sticks to metal also, one bracket I cemented adhered to the furnace bricks, the other did not, but I think it was my fault, thus the 5 stars. The blocks are as solid as the day they were installed. Time will tell because I burn the fire pit very hot
I purchased this furnace cement to address an unsealed atea between my furnace flue and the chimney, which presented a safety concern. As a DIY enthusiast, I prioritize cost-effective, manageable maintenance tasks. The product required minimal mixing and was straightforward to apply without the need for additional solvents; I opted for soap and water to ensure safety, avoiding potentially flammable or toxic alternatives. Given that my furnace utilizes wood, coal, and oil, I appreciate the product's 3,000°F heat resistance rating, which provides significant peace of mind. I am confident in the results of this application, and my system is now prepared for the winter season. The item was accurately described, arrived promptly, and effectively resolved the issue.
This ready-to-use gray furnace cement creates an exceptionally strong, heat-resistant seal on fireplaces, wood stoves, and ductwork. The thick formula applies smoothly with a putty knife and cures into a rock-hard barrier that prevents gas leaks and handles intense temperatures. It bonds tightly to metal and masonry without cracking or shrinking over time. A reliable, professional-grade compound for any high-temp repair job!
a must have for the Offgrid Lifestyle, works perfectly on any part of your wood fire stove, seals up all those pesky cracks beautifully, did arrive without a seal which allowed for some liquid portion of the material to leak out and advertised that it wasn't crumbly to which it is very crumble until you mix it up thoroughly, doesn't have any toxic smells before or after heating and is a great value for the money in comparison to other big name brands, I would recommend this product as it does a better job of seal crackers then traditional fiberglass rope sealant.
The heaviest pint of anything I've ever held. This furnace cement is very heavy. It comes in a well-sealed plastic pint container. The directions are clear and concise. The product is for adhesion, not for use as mortar.
I never used his product before but it was recommended to me I used it for what I had to use it for it was easy to work with so far so good looks like it's amazing product
I have been looking for a cement that was temperature controlled for my mother's fireplace and we used it it dried pretty quickly and we haven't had a problem.
