Such a nice straightener for $15. I was really surprised at how fast it heated up and how it worked out on My thick, long, coarse hair. It didn't even take me long at all to iron My whole head either. I definitely recommend! I've had numerous conair branded straighteners over the years and they've always worked very well for me. %26 again, I have long, thick,coarse hair.

I'm so glad I checked the reviews and saw all the good reviews on this straightener. I recently dropped and broke my Chi that I had since high school and was on the hunt for a straightener that I liked as much as that one. This one obviously isn't my chi but for 15$ it's great. I had got a Remington before buying the conair and I didn't like it at all. Def give this one a try and you can't beat the price either:

Conair a good brand. I have had this same flat iron for 2-3 years. Needed to put one in my suitcase so I will have it for weddings, parties that come up (so I don't forget it!). The surface touching your hair is very good, appreciate being given a choice of temperatures. At a lower temperature it does a good job straightening a stray curl. Recommended. The price offered at Walmart was a good price.

I had a Conair flat iron for about 20 years. It worked flawlessly until a few weeks ago when it just simply would not turn on. I bought a dollar store flat iron because I needed it that day but it had a tendency to grab your hair in an unpleasant way, so it was returned and I ordered this Conair iron. I have to say that it is very gentle on your hair and doesn't pull at all. I'm very happy with it!

My 20 year old Remington died this morning, and I bought this one, thinking my deceased one was a Conair. I discovered it wasn't when I returned home. I almost bought the Remington because this one has only preset heat levels, where my old Remington was more adjustable. I wish I had bought the Remington now, to be honest. I typically used my old one at 350° and with great results. This one is 374 and the next lowest is in the 330s. I'll give it a go for a bit and see how it does. It does have a nice sturdy lock on it.

I have had this same model before, but a wire must have broken loose in the cord so the only way it would work is for the cord to be fully extended, so it wouldn't stay heated when using. I bought another one exactly like it. It works as well as the first one did but the new one has a tiny gap when closing, and on my fine hair, I have to squeeze it harder to get it to close all the way. But overall, it's a great product for the price, and it lasted me a few years with daily use.

I rather like this model- the Lock feature is a nice feature %26 will cause a longer life on the cord as I won't have to constantly wrap it around it to close… I also like Settings as they they're not constantly changing on my while Im using like the one I just replaced. The Style %26 all around appearance is nice I also have the matching hair dryer and curling iron in this collection and those are good products as well. For the price it is okay. However, the iron does not hold the hair very snuggly, requiring the user to either squeeze very hard and/or pass the iron over the hair more than once. Also, there needs to be a small area at the tip to allow a finger or two to hold the iron while straightening and bending hair without getting burned.

It does heat up quickly. First time using a flat iron so I didn't realize the plates were wrong! Only a small section clamps down while most won't even close so my hair falls out! Very disappointed and since I've used it over a month before I was informed the plates should be closer together I can't return. Check to make sure yours works correctly.
