this is a nice phone. it was a great value. this phone is new as advertised it is certainly unlocked and tied to any carrier service it is easy to navigate. however when it comes to the SIM card and slots THIS PHONE DOES USE OR HAVE A SLOT FOR AN ACTUAL PHYSICAL SIM CARD..MUST HAVE YOUR PREFERRED OR CURRENT SERVICE PROVIDER ACTIVATE THE PHONE ON THEIR SERVICE SYSTEM.. I am a usmobile customer. this phone is compatible with a service provider that uses 4g and above. it is difficult to find out if any cell phone is compatible with any provider. I bought this phone because it was advertised as new 4g lite and unlocked GSM phone. you must have your actual service provider activate the phone from their side. if its compatible. THIS PHONE HAS WHAT IS KNOWN AS A eSIM CARD BUILT RIGHT INTO THE PHONE ITSELF. therefore there is no slot for a physical SIM card. you can still keep your old number. your physical SIM card will be come unusable and worthless once your service provider begins the activation process for this phone. this phone will shutdown and restart a few times on its own. before it stabilizes. it freaked me out. but it works fine. turn off everything you don't need or use to save on battery power. this phone must have a full charge before you even try to get your provider to activate it. it took quite a while for them to figure out the eSIM part of it. you must have a internet wifi connection to get this phone activated. the seller of these phones need to be more consise and detailed about this phone when its calling it a GSM phone and the type of SIM card it uses

This phone was supposed to be unlocked. But it is locked to Consumer Cellular.
