Exactly as described and wanted
I have never used Conte before but the instructional book in drawing suggested them. There is a learning curve but there's good tutorials on YouTube. That's a sketcher's issue, not an issue with the product. I have a life altering progressive illness with a movement disorder so finding I need art products that don't spill easily and allow the ability to easily erase or incorporate errant marks made even hands jerk. I love watercolor when able but these Conte sticks are awesome for challenging days, or even when I need to do art while needing a lie down. Fast arrival time too

Great with one important drawback.
Alas, I just learned Conte Crayons contain TITANIUM. If breathed, this can lead to lung cancer. So wear a mask and clean up your workspace carefully. Fortunately, these crayons aren't that dusty. Nonetheless, care should be taken when using.
