My son has been on a nature kick lately, collecting rocks, playing with sticks and anything else he can find outside, so I figured it was time to get him something that could actually keep up with his curiosity. This microscope has been perfect for that. What sold me was that it works both as a handheld portable microscope and as a traditional tabletop microscope. We can use it in our backyard, on a hiking trail, or on his table - very versatile. The 2.4" screen means he can see what he's looking at without squinting into an eyepiece, which makes a real difference for a kid. It's light enough that he can carry it himself and sturdy enough that I don't panic every time he sets it down on a rock. Setup was simple. He can figure most of it out on his own. If your kid is the type who wants to know what everything looks like up close, this is a good purchase.

This is a nice little beginner microscope. It does NOT include the micro-SD card and you will need one to take pictures or videos. You can link it to your phone, with wifi, I don't know if you could record that or take screenshots as I haven't tried that. You can use it as a handheld, off the pedestal. That is in my pictures. The screen has a good quality to it. Operation was simple. I believe all ages would enjoy this. I plan to use it with my grandson. It comes with a convenient wrist strap, it s rechargeable. It would be a great gift! Glad we got it!

l was going to give it as a gift for one of my grand kids but i like it so much i think im going to keel it for myself. my favorite thing about it is that with wifi you can use your tablet or phone to use as the view screen. great clarity in its magnification. relatively easy to set up and use. wish it had a few more accessories included with it, but you can order what you need through walmart. opens up a whole new world tha you didnt know exsisted. quality product. easy to use. hours of educational entertainment. Every kid should have one. On my christmas list for all 6 of my grand kids.

It is an excellent toy for sparking children's interest in science. It offers excellent image quality—so good, in fact, that I'd say it's not just a toy. It features different colored lights to enhance image clarity. Mine didn't come with an SD card, so I'm not sure if it was supposed to be included and was missing, or if it simply doesn't come with one and needs to be purchased separately; regardless, the ability to save the images you capture is a fantastic feature. It is an excellent investment for young science enthusiasts.

59.99  I got this since my Vet years ago, had asked if I had checked it under a microscope. No, so I thought having this on hand would be a good idea. Plus, I loved that the scoped detached from the base, which I could see be very handy for analyzing all types of things including medical issues, like moles, etc. Sure enough right before it can in, my pet started having ear issues. I also found a bloody spot in the pet's ear and was able to see if it was a tick or a scab, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, it must be connected to. Computer to do pictures. It is not compatible with iPads. It charges up in just 2 hours, with warning of overheating may fry the mother board, if charge too long! That and the other usage warnings of…”Do not knock, hit, squeeze or drop it”, “Not waterproof or store in a humid place” “Do not expose to direct sunlight for a long time”, “Do not leave it lying around”, Do not use in environments with high water vapor (may damage motherboard), “Recommended to charge it at least once a month” (WHAT???).🤪. This is suppose to be rated for 8 , does NOT SOUND KID PROOF TO ME!!!! In fact sounds like major parental oversight is needed. I even question how long it will last for my once in a great while medical usage. It does come with the charging cord that is 19.75 inches, a clear plastic 2.25” petre dish, four attached 3/4” clear plastic capped containers (like for small bugs), 6 clear plastic 2.5” long slides, clear plastic dropper, a plastic tweezer and a highly recommended 18” neck strap. BUT given the questionable durability and the required monthly battery charging and the asking price of a hefty $59.99 this is a major pass to me. I can NOT recommend especially when I found a compable detachable microscope with the same features and bigger screen for much less (can not speak for its usage warnings).

It says it right on the microscope box: Cultivates problem solving and in-depth thinking skills. This may be one of the greatest tools I've shared with my kids. I remember my first microscope and chemistry set and it did exactly as promised. I'never forgotten it and this comes as close to fulfilling a family legacy as it gets. This is just such a superior acquisition for you and your family I cannot encourage it enough.

This is a step up from the toy microscope we gave my grandson for Christmas. He has maintained interest, so we want to take him to the next level. This model looks less like a toy and has more magnification.

Such a fun toy for my boys. Everyone needs a bit of discovery. Easy to put together and come with tools to help young learners navigate the equipment.
