I still say if you have the income save up for the expensive stuff. However, these meet and exceed my needs and will last longer than I will so that's a good thing. No non-stick poison coating...good thing. Easy to clean....green scrubby for normal and steel wool for harder. Not sure how the coating on the handles will do in the oven and won't try. That's my only wish they did not.....sell with just bare metal and maybe add a pot holder. Ya know, to make it look like a greater deal.
Folks, I always say....buy pots piecemeal rather than sets, buy stainless, clay, stone, cast iron etc....just do not buy non-stick coating unless you like poisoning yourself and buying disposable pots....see the coating breaks down with heat and slowly comes off in your food then you throw it away and the cycle repeats.
Now, these two pots are perfect for single servings canned soups, rice, oatmeal, pretty much anything. Just rember to use the lid to block splashing. I used the little one multiple times for make caramel for flan.....comes out perfect. Heat seems to distribute faily evenly and no warping so far....avoid prolonged extreme heat and avoid putting a hot pot in cold water. Oh, price seems fair. Finally, stainless like most metals change color after being heated. So, eventually these pots will not be all shiny and pretty but they will still cook your food perfectly and perfectly cleanable.
