If I had known Walmart would ship this through FedEx with no option to choose a different carrier, I never would have purchased it. This air conditioner ships in three separate boxes, all requiring a signature, but FedEx made it nearly impossible to actually receive them.
They claimed they would hold the shipment for pickup — then still sent the driver back to my door. They “delivered” one box to a far-away location, but the other two were marked as delivered even though I never received them. Customer service (both FedEx and Walmart) couldn't resolve it, and the online tools constantly showed errors.
I've spent days making phone calls, driving to pickup locations, and trying to track down missing packages. At this point I'm beyond frustrated. If Walmart is going to commit to FedEx for heavy items, and FedEx can't deliver them properly, there needs to be an alternative or a pickup-at-store option.
I will not be ordering from Walmart again after this experience.
