This is a good little tool that takes a little practice to get used to. Having two ways to activate the pruner blades is very handy and allows easy manipulation of the cutting head for either close or distant cutting. An underrated feature is the ability to rotate the cutting head to whatever angle is needed to snip that one little ornery stem that refuses to be reached. The tools light weight is another large plus.
Used it to trim bougainvillea vines from my magnolia tree. Was able to keep my distance from those pesky thorns. It is light enough for seniors to lift for extended periods.
It's not heavy and it's easy to use.
Happy to review this nicely designed, and well made pruner. It is far easier to use, compared to my other pruner, which requires hooking a branch from behind in order to lop it off. The Corona pruner, easily, cuts branches over an inch thick. Especially find useful the double action feature that allows cutting close or doubling the reach by pulling either the midway or the end rope attachment. Quite a bargain at the price.
It serves it's purpose, but you have to pull on a handle at the end of the pole every time you want to cut vines or thin branches. The pole is light weight with rope is inside the pole. There's also a knob in the middle of the pole to utilize instead of pulling on the handle. I got a good workout of my arms since I had a lot of vines to cut along porch stairs.
Works well. Easy to use.
its light weight, fair on reach. made for small branches less than 1/2 inch. blade parts are light weight wouldn't put a lot pressure on them. if you extend your arms full length hard to close blades.
This is very difficult to use. The slide mechanism is too far up the handle. It will not capture anything you attempt to cut with it. Quite disappointed as Corona generally makes good tools.
Bought this and they cancel it because they put the price wrong. That is agains the law just so you know.
I found this to be of poor design. The swivel-head wasn't useful at all since the power of the cutting gets truncated when the head is at any different angle than straight. It really doesn't cut anything of 1.25 inches. I found myself having to go back to a standard cutting tool to cut anything greater than 0.5 inches. Plus, my hand kept getting pinched really badly at the bottom.
