this phone has a volume control on the handset. this is a welcome feature because i have a hearing problem.

AWESOME !!!
I LOVE THIS PHONE !!!!! It looks exactly like the old phone I remember as a kid back in the late '70s and early '80s . The ringer can be set for low or up louder if you wish but the low tone is just right for me . The receiver is exactly as I remember it and when I talked through it to my wife she said I sounded clearer and better on it than the old "newer models" that we've had. I also had an older answering machine and thought I'd have to buy a new one for this phone along with a bunch of adapters and all that stuff that you usually have to buy with new things , but NOT with this phone , it has two plug-ins in the back , so I was able to hook one line into my computer (which acts as a wall jack) and used the other plug-in to plug in my old answering machine and Everything Works at NO Extra Costs to me !!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PHONE !!!!!

I actually bought this for someone so I can't really say much but the person I bought it said they liked it, it was heavy which they liked and said it was what they wanted.

Good Sound
Love it. I purchased this phone in the event there is an outage but I find I use it much more often when I am going to have a long conversation to not get additional radio frequency radiation.

It has clear and louder settings that we needed. made out of durable plastic and easy to see and use calling buttons.

Doesn't work
Right out of the box the ringer doesn't work. Only solution, ship it to Mississipi at my cost. After what I paid for it (overpriced imho) I have to pay more to ship it? I am not wasting any more money on this landfill. Thanks.
