I will admit that I'm kind of a novice to fly fishing, but the rod seems to be of good quality. I've used it twice and have had no issues.

Great rod for the prize. Good company
Cortland has great customer support. My kid broke the tip of my rod the very next day after purchase at walmart.. Long story short i contacted cortland via email.. told them the truth , i was just looking to buy a new tip and they sent me a whole new rod for free. Love the rod . I got a $200 vice and honestly i used the cheap one more is my go to because im not afraid to abuse it..haave caught large bass and peacock bass with it. I cant complain about this rod

Fun rod
Good shoreline bass rod, casts 20-30 feet like a dream. Pulled in a three and a half largemouth no problem, just remember to fight the fish with the butt end and not the tip of the rod.( keep the tip low)

cheap composite rod. No back bone. impossible to get a decent cast.
