Cosco Kids Funsport Portable Compact Baby Play Yard, Elephant Squares

This awesome Fun Sport Play yard comes in at a whapping, compacted 22lbs. When pulled out of box, it is in it's own bag like a folding chair. when pulled from the bag it is still neatly held together by it's inner bottom by Velcro around it. Once you take this off you simply leave the center up and pull each side rail up until your hear a double click. Then you can push the center down, take the bottom (which is very well padded, easy to clean material, has a Velcro at each corner), Place it in bottom of play yard, Velcro it to the bottom of play yard through the pre-slits design and you are ready to go. Now this play yard has two wheels on one side at bottom which makes for very easy rolling it around the house, yard, wherever you may be. This play yard is a very compact unit when closed back up which makes it a great space saver for traveling. It was very well designed and I think it's great.

This pack and play is awesome. Even though it doesn't come with the top part for when the babies are really little, this is still amazing! I love the colors! They are so bright and easy for a young infant or toddler to stare at for easy eye coordination and viewing the different colors.I did have a little trouble getting the pack and play down. I had to use the directions because this pack n play is updated.Which is a good thing. No child will ever be able to figure out how to get the bars down, as for the older ones, which had bottoms.The bars on this one has grip handles on each bar you just squeeze ! genius! I would recommend this product to any one. easy to put up and take down. comes with a bag. so its very portable.

1st -I have to say that I was so surprised and thrilled that this Play-yard is so sturdy & heavy – (for me anyway). Wasn't so bad after I removed it from the box and put it together though. It comes folded up and the mattress is folded in a square to wrap around the frame & is held together with velcro. There is also a cover/case with handles for the folded play yard in for easy carrying/traveling. The bottom of the mattress has the assembly instructions printed plus has a pocket where the sheet of assembly instructions, after folded, are kept. So you never have to forget how to put it together and close it up. The mattress is well padded & is a 100% polyurethane foam pad. My 1st picture shows a stuffed monkey (because the baby isn't here yet) and the 2nd picture shows the Bottom of the play yard where you can see the 2 wheels on one side with 2 stands on the other side & you can pick up that side to roll the play yard. On the bottom you can see the sturdy frame that also includes a stand in the middle and on each of the long sides. (I wanted you to see this so you would understand how it is so sturdy – as well as the sturdiness of the frame parts.) This is not only very sturdy but very easy to put together. You simply undo the velcro (mattress) which is holding the frame together – then put the mattress to the side. Then simply follow the directions. Just make certain that each side is completely up & you hear a 'pop' (the first time, one wasn't so I had to undo all & begin over by pulling the middle up) When all the sides are straight, you just push the middle part down. Then you lay the mattress in the middle & hide the velcro underneath - so baby doesn't try to chew on it. The top of the rails is patted & the same pattern as the mattress and the corners are a sturdy plastic. I am happily surprised with my Cosco Funsport Play Yard. I have another inexpensive play yard that I use and I was in need of another one for our basement. I was concerned the Cosco Funsport was going to be similar to my Evenflo Play Yard which has lower sides than some other yards. This is less of a concern on the carpet but in the basement it's concrete and my daughter is a climber so high sides are a must. We were using the Graco large square play yard in the basement but it was just too large and taking up much needed space. Now that my daughter is a toddler, I only need her in the play yard for short periods of time to clean-up and load and unload the laundry. The Cosco Funsport is perfect. It's a small rectangle shape with high sides. I love that it has wheels on one side for easy moving around the room. When it's in the carrying bag it's not as lightweight and compact as the Evenflo but still much smaller than a full size square play yard. It's a cinch to open and lock and unlock the sides with a very easy push down middle. The mat inside is a good thickness, easily velcros to the yard and seems sturdy and even under my little ones feet. They even thought to add a pocket under the mat to keep the directions with the play yard. I wish they had a second pocket for the carry bag underneath the play yard for easy storage like the directions. Overall, I love the grey color and pattern and it's working wonderfully for our small space.

I am currently using this for my grandson but I think it would be great for a boy or girl. My grandson is 15 months and he loves playing in it and I use it for his bed when he spends the night with Nana. The bottom pad has a good cushion. This play yard is just as nice and sturdy as the expensive Graco pack n play I bought my daughter. The product is very reasonable in price. Set up can be difficult if you don't use the instructions. They are on the back of the pad. I would not start setting this up without them. Once you read the instructions it's easy to set up and take down. I love that this play yard is so roomy yet folds into this nice small item that fits into a carrying case. It's compact and sturdy so it is a little heavy to carry for a long distance. The material on both the play yard and carry case are very good.

The Cosco Funsport Play Yard is a solid, well-made, play yard that has a number of great features. First of all, right out of the box, you will find it neatly tucked in the storage bag and zipped with the draw string closure. For grandparents like me, whose grandchildren live far away and don’t get to visit often, this is the perfect way to store the equipment between uses. When my newborn granddaughter comes to visit, she will have a safe and secure place to nap and play. Set-up is quick and easy and taking down the play yard is simple and fast. The play area is generously -sized and the mesh sides make it easy for adults to keep an eye on the little one (or for them to easily see you). The mattress pad seems decent, although I may invest in a thicker play yard mattress for added comfort. This will be so convenient to pack in the trunk and take along to visit other relatives or when we travel and stay in a hotel. It really is very compact and lightweight when stored in the bag-- no trouble whatsoever to pack in the car. I would highly recommend this item to all parents and grandparents.

This is just a basic, bare bones play yard. There's nothing fancy about it, except the beautiful design. With that being said, it is quite versatile and convenient. It is easy to set up and take down and comes with its own carrying bag. This makes for easy transport on trips or extended stays elsewhere. Great to have as a back up at grandma's house. It is well made and seems to be well padded for comfort, which is a plus for sleeping babies. It is also easy to clean with a quick wipe down. We all know those spills and messes that accompany our little ones. While you could opt for more well known name brands that make similar play yards, you could also spend less for almost the same product and buy this brand. Cosco has stepped up to the challenge of making great products, and this one is no different. Why pay more?! The bottom line is this, a great play yard, beautiful, eye catching design and cost efficiency are what people are looking for in today's economy. It really is a no-brainer, in my honest opinion. I DO recommend this product and I would buy this product again.

The cosco play yard is a compact, neat item that sets up (once you know how) and stores fairly easily. It includes a neat carrying bag with a strap that closes the bag around it. Also, the actual removable bottom of the playpen wraps around the folded up playpen to contain it when not in use. It uses Velcro to hold this around the playpen. It is made of a very durable material. Once you take it out of the bag and remove the wrapped bottom, the playpen opens up pretty easily. It can be somewhat difficult at first. Be sure to lock the top rails into each other before you fold the playpen and bottom out (it is somewhat like an accordion). Follow instructions! The print on the material looks great and could be used for either boy or girl. Although it was not as large or tall as we thought it would be, we would recommend this product.

I chose this play pen to review planning to use it at my house when my grandson comes to visit for him to sleep in instead of purchasing a crib. I really like this play yard. It has 4 mesh sides so I can see him from any angle without having to disturb him to check on him for nap time and when he wakes up he can see me so there is no crying. I have the Bloom pattern- brown with flowers, it is a nice, colorful pattern. It has a padded floor, its not the softest bottom, but acceptable for nap time. It is easy for me to set up, but take down was a little tricky for me, its certainly not as easy to take down as it is to set up. I also like how it folds into the storage bag which makes storing this in the closet very nice or if you need to take it with you on the go. Worked out pretty well for this grandma to carry my grandson in one arm while I carry this play yard in its carrying bag in the other and still manage to open the door. I plan to purchase two more of these...one to use exclusively outside for him to play in while I garden and one of these to take to our vacation lake home for him to sleep in while we're there. I would recommend this to grandparents who are looking for a safe, economical play yard to keep at their home or for trips with the grandkids or for parents who would like a economical solution as well.

This is a great pack and play, especially at this low price point. The only negative is that the carrying case "duffle bag" appears to be made of a thin material and does not have a zipper. It's just a thin polyester bag with a draw string closure. The handles are sown on without any extra reenforcement. I have my doubts about its longevity and without it, the piece of furniture becomes much more difficult to handle. The carry bag aside, the playard functions very well and is light weight. You just click the 4 sides to secure the top frame and push down on the center dowel. The thing is set up. What could be easier. The padded and rather heavy bottom is unfolded and placed in the playard and the contraption is ready for baby to play or sleep. It wouldn't be as soft as a mattress but it is comfortable enough for occassional use. We have only used it as a bed and don't think most children would be happy playing in the thing. However, it is great for travel and special occasions such as having to take your baby to work. The thing has two wheels at one end so you can scoot the thing around. It seems to me that it is so light weight already that the only purpose of the wheels is to move the thing around with a sleeping baby inside. So, the functionality is great, the price is great, and only the carrying bag is a little bit flimsy.
