Moved into a house that was rented 14 years and used Kilz Complete on kitchen cabinets Moved into a house that was rented 14 years and used Kilz Complete on kitchen cabinets that were horribly stained by years of spaghetti splats (and dried Coke spray). Accidentally hit the wall tiles with the brush and didn't see it until later. Well, that paint was a gift from heaven. The previous owner had high-gloss ceramic tiles around the walls up to the chair rail- to match ugly green floor tile. I noticed how well the accidental brush marks adhered to the slick tile surface, bought another can of paint, and in 3 hours that paint transformed the ugly wall tiles into white "subway" tiles! Still more to do...walls, but Awesome, great stuff! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to paint a front door and shutters on my home. I didn't prime the surfaces at all, as this paint is a paint and primer in one. I purchased it in black, and I could have gotten away with a single coat, but I did two. It has a nice shine to it.
I bought this for my bathroom walls to cover some very bad smoke damage. One coat was all I used and it looks like my bathroom came out of a magazine. Love this paint going to use it on all my walls [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Used it to change the colors on my bathrooms cabinets and walls. Went on prepped cabinets with ease. There was no need for priming. I applied 3 coats (black on wood cabinets). Went on the walls great too. Love the large sticker swatches available because I could really see what my walls were going to look like before I purchased. Will buy again for the rest of the house. I always test out new trim paints to see how they stack up against my favorites Pro Classic, Emerald Urethane, and Advance.I picked up a qt of the kilz at walmart for around $13. I was impressed with this product and I'd say its not far off in quality as of some trim paints that are three times the price. It is also easier to apply than some of the high end paints that have bit of a learning curve to get a nice finish.. Great value and versitility. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've used just about every brand of paint that is available to purchase. I dread painting because i know without a doubt that i will be applying two coats, no matter which color I'm trying to cover with/cover over. I've always used Kilz primer, if a primer has been needed, and its the only brand of primer I would always recommend. For my last paint chore, I went to pick out the color paint I would be using. I needed semi-gloss, but of course, they were out of the brand I usually pick. So, the only other semi-gloss available was Kilz Complete Coat. I had never heard of it, but it wasn't that much more expensive, and I trust Kilz to make a quality product, so I decided to try it. I was ecstatic about halfway through my paint chore as the paint was going on so smoothly and I wasn't going to need to do two coats!! You have no idea how happy I was! This paint is amazing and will be the only paint I use from now on! Highly recommended!! :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
As a first time home owner, I had refinished my 3 room attic and rented it to a housemate I found on an internet site. She seemed very nice & although she had a dog and a cat, she reassured me that she was a very responsible pet owner ... About 6 months went by with no issues, until one afternoon I could hear the vacuum cleaner running up there & I knew she was not home ..I figured either the dog or cat had somehow turned it on and I didn't want to leave it running unattended. I tried to call and text her, no response, so I went to go up there & turn it off. OMG .. I got halfway up the attic stairs & the smell hit me like a wall of bricks ! It was like the filthiest zoo animal/ammonia stench you could imagine ! When I got to the top of the stairs, I was astonished ~ she had an AC unit running in one window, a fan in another; 2 floor fans running; the TV on and a radio on; an electric water fountain for pets running; and the vacuum that I had heard. Even more appalling were all the animals ! Besides the original dog and cat, there were 3 more cats, 4 ferrets, a rabbit, and 2 huge parrots ! Only the dog was crated, all the other creatures were loose, and the 6 month old carpet was covered with urine and fecal matter & stains. Needless to say, I immediately informed her that she had to move somewhere more pet friendly, lol, by the end of the month! I had to remove everything, including the new carpet (as it was ruined!) .. I threw a "KILZ Complete Coat Paint Party" and had family and friends come over to help me paint EVERYTHING ~ floors, walls, and ceilings! This happened 11 years ago and I am amazed and happy to say that the KILZ paint completely eliminated ALL the animal aromas ! I would definitely (and have, many times!) highly recommend this product ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this last month for my house down in W.V that I just inherited. When I say that the walls had nothing but grease and smoke stain on them I am not exaggerating! I only had to use one coat and WOW what a difference it made! It looks like a brand new house. Thank you!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My home is very old many coats of paint wallpaper etc. We used kerosene heaters to heat, which makes a mess out of everything and on top of that we had an incident where the chimney did not close completely. Leaving ceilings walls furniture and fixtures covered in an in removable soot. NO matter what we tried to clean with didn't work. I decided I would try Kilz paint in the Bathroom from the ceiling to the floor. We only have one bathroom, not only did Kilz paint seal, and cover beautifully it dried in remarkable time. No one missed a Shower waiting for the bathroom to dry. I am 100% Happy and sold on your product. I Absolutely cannot wait to take back my home from the kerosene disaster. Armed with Kilz paint I will succeed and smile with pride once again. THANK YOU [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This paint was thin and coverage was poor. After 3 coats, I still need to do touch ups. It was cheap quality and I should have known better. Better quality paint is always a far better value. I will only use the primer. They need to improve the kilz complete product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
