Product is humane and intended for use only if left with no other choice. Avoidance is always the best. Never feed or go near bears EVER! Stay away from bear cubs too, no matter how cute they are. Good product for a rural area to stop an attack, where no less invasive or escape option is available.
I hike a lot, sometimes in remote forests. I have never needed to use my bear spray but I do feel more safe having it with me. The price was competitive at Walmart and it was easy to order.
This stuff is the real deal, will stop wild dogs dead in their tracks.
One of the best I ever used
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very satisfied with this bear spray. It is a big can but not too heavy. It is easy to hold to spray. The carrying case is a great addition to keep it on my side when I need it and within reach so that i don't have to go digging through my bag.

The carrying case is very convenient and makes it a lot easier to be ready in case of a Bear attack. Luckily my group didn't see any bears on our hike, but I felt much more comfortable and safer knowing I was prepared just in case. I recommend this for any one who may live or be visiting any area where they may encounter bears.

The canister looks like it will be easy to use as quickly as I need to and that gives me ease of mind living around woods.
Came with safety and sleeve
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bear canister with holster is one of the smartest purchases that I have gotten. I got this cuz my son rides his bike to and from work. We live in a wooded area that does have wild life. Thankfully when he came across a bear he had this which have him time to get away safely. Holster is convenient and makes carrying easy. He attaches his to his back pack. The safety clip is smart so that it's not accidentally sprayed. Spray is far enough to disorient a bear. Glad I got this when I did.
