Thank you for the wonderful coffee, the best! My next question is out of pure curiosity. I have noticed that the dark roast at Counter Culture resembles medium roast compared with other coffee brands. My friend prefers darker. Is this specific to this coffee style? Thank you so much!
Our new favorite beans for espresso. Perfectly roasted each time. Makes for a flavorful pull where you can taste the dark chocolate notes. Highly recommend for those who enjoy a robust cup!
No acidity, no bitterness, another great espresso roast for my lever machine. Note their dark roasts don't actually look that dark but you can tell by the settings required for the grinder. Enjoy.
The tasting notes are vibrant yet harmonious: dark chocolate and roasted nuts lend a warm depth, while subtle berry undertones add a layer of sweetness and lively acidity. This interplay of flavors keeps each sip interesting, striking a perfect balance between intensity and brightness. For coffee enthusiasts who enjoy a nuanced dark roast with a touch of sweetness and a hint of fruity acidity, Gradient offers an exceptional experience. It's a flavorful journey through Colombia's coffee landscape, all wrapped up in a deliciously satisfying cup.
Great taste, just the right balance of that deep coffee flavor with a bit of sour! Makes me enjoy espresso almost as much as a good Capp!
Everything a wake-me-up coffee should be without the bitterness. More bear hug than face slap. My "go to" dark roast.
Wonderful tasting coffee with rich, bold, but smooth taste.
The flavor is good but it is way more expensive to order directly than buy at a store
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bean was nice but hard to get the flavor profile I wanted from my machine. When it did hit, it was enjoyable. Just not the typical roast I would go for at pressure. I'm still giving it a 4 because it was nice when dialed in but hard to get it there. Maybe I'll try as a pour over someday.
I first had this coffee at a restaurant in 2021 in Nyack, NY and had to buy it! Whole Foods carried it last couple years where picked it up regularly. They stopped carrying Gradient blend so I purchased a 5 lb bag online. This batch brews incredibly weak. I always brew with extra spoonfuls for strong coffee but this is not the Gradient I have been buying the last few years.
