It's a great ice maker I've had it little over 5 months. Definitely just keep up on maintenance or water if you don't you'll burn in it out.
it's a beautiful machine, the large window across the top allows you to watch the ice being made. It doesn't make the promised 27 lbs of ice every 24 hours, but s long as you start off with chilled water and it's not too hot in your house, it does make 9 bullet icecubes every 15 minutes or so. Overall, I'm VERY happy with it.
I didn't think about it NOT storing ice in itself. You have to emply it into another container and put in fridge.
The ice cubes are a little wet when you get to use them
