Cowboy Bebop Remix, Volume 1 [DVD]

Cowboy Bebop is IMO the best animated series ever. The characters are fully fleshed and just plain cool. Some of the iamagery is a bit on the disturbing side (the red eye drug in the first episode), but always awesome. They do a pretty good blend of computer animation and traditional, although the CG stuff stands out a bit. The fight scenes are particularly well done in spite of the low frame rate anime generally has. The english dub is some of the best anime voice overs ever. Usually dubbed anime make my skin crawl (its the pointless extra words that they stick in to try to match the japanese mouth movements. It's why dubs always have extra "huh"s and "aaah"s, wierd pauses in the dialogue and the like), but Bebop keeps that to a bare minimum. If you want to try to get into the world of anime, try this before getting into some of the bizarre ones.
