Cra-Z-Art Softee dough is great quality and consistent with other Play-Doh products purchased in stores. This dough allows kids to have tons of fun and use their imagination to create just about anything! My daughter took the original approach and really enjoyed making mini donuts out of this dough. We added colored rice and BAM they looked yummy enough to eat! The colors are very vibrant, and the reusable containers are great to keep the dough soft so kids can reuse it multiple times. Softee dough is great for any group, party or just individual child play. Great price, great quality, and a must have for any household.
Kids had so much fun making me donuts and deserts for days. I finally had to tell them I was gonna turn into a donut if they gave me anymore. They had fun making so many different designs of donuts but like any play dough, the colors get mixed and dry out. But we still have the tools to make more if we get more play dough. It wa so fun seeing how creative the kids got with different decorative donuts. And they were so cute served in the little box.
This Cra-Z-Art Softee Dough Donut Shop Modeling Compound Activity Set is great for kids, especially when stuck inside.lol. our 5-year old daughter loves making fancy donuts/donut holes for everyone. The swirled clay that's included is very pretty and great quality. Definitely recommend!
This dough is very soft and has a mild pleasant smell. It is great for blending & mixing colors, there is even a color chart on the back of the box. There's a cute little rolling pin and it's a lot of fun for the kids to use. It does take some time to get used to since you must palms to push and roll. Keep the dough closed tightly in the containers and they will be soft longer. One thing about the syringe/piper is that it's kind of hard to squeeze even for an adult, so especially for a small kid. Also the main donut maker is a bit tricky for a smaller kid so enjoy the moment and play together as a family! Also the dough tends to start to squeeze out from the sides where it shouldn't. Overall good and fun product though.
My daughter and I have so much fun with the donut shop activity set. The Softee dough is so squishy and I love that the dough actually smells like donuts! It has a sweet smell to the dough which adds to the fun of making donuts and donut holes. I like that it comes with a little donut box to fill with the goodies that you make. There are 3 containers of modeling compound that come with this set, so you get a variety of colors. I was very impressed with this set, this was our first time using Cra-Z-Art Softee dough and I will definitely continue using and buying more Softee dough. We have played with this daily for hours at a time and the dough hasn't dried out at all. Definitely recommend this!
My 4 year old daughter and I really enjoyed this. We have created so many things. I definitely learned to lay saran wrap or something else plastic on the table before we started playing with this. It is difficult to get off the table, just like any craft dough.
My kids love donuts, and they love playing modeling compound, so this was the perfect gift for them. Their favorite part of the whole kit was the extruder. They are really enjoying creating the topping for each donut with it. I personally like that you can create both donuts and donut holes. Th only thing I'm not a fan of is that 2 of the color packs, have two colors in them. I have never been a fan of mixing colors, and this kit already has the touching each other. It's just a personal vex though.
My granddaughter had a great time playing with this play set. The dough was very easy to work with it was easy to squeeze, roll and press. She made doughnuts in all different shapes and colors. She frosted some and had so much fun making the sprinkles and putting them on the doughnut. She also got out some of my cookie cutters and made cookies also with frosting, sprinkles and decorations. The box was a great added feature. It kept her busy for hours.
This great donut play dough set is hours of fun. My grand baby and I bake these colorfully play dough, stretch it to long flat bread. Easy to roll and shape to the figure you want. The doughmaker is easy to use, simply enough for a 4 yr old to use on her own. The containers held enough playdough to make use doughnuts. Easy to pick up from the floor, the table or the carpet. I was confident to let her play with it unattended.
We have the donut shop Softee dough from Cra-Z-Art. The dough is not the best. It pales in comparison to the actual brand of “dough for playing.”. The dough is stiff and not as pliable. It is still moldable, but just not as good. It feels like dough that has just not been shut properly in the container. Also, of the three tubs of dough, two come with two colors in the tub. That makes for a disaster if you plan to keep the dough colors separate after playing. I would suggest getting a zippered sandwich bag to keep some of the colors separate after playing. The tools that come with the donut shop are fun and work quite well. The donut and donut hole maker are both cute. The donut hole maker just makes balls of dough, but it is still cute. The rolling pin works well, it does not seem like it will fall apart. The sprinkle/ frosting extruder is sturdy. The dough flows freely and feels like a play syringe from a kid's doctor kit, so it is almost ergonomic. The cardboard box for the donuts will fall apart easily. It is not going to last. It has probably already fallen apart in the dough box we have. If you are buying this for the tools and not the dough, then it is totally worth the price. If you are buying it for the dough, stop! Run away! Spend just a bit more and get the actual brand of “dough for playing.”
