This kit is great , has all you need ( except bottles )but if you read the description it tells you all the info and what you will need .
A great kit for a family to do together!
I purchased this as a gift for a youngster that likes root beer. The Good: Quality packaging makes for a great gift and ingredients also seem to be top shelf. Instruction manual is very clear and concise, although I do recommend reading over the entire pamphlet once or twice to decide which method you plan to do BEFORE starting. The high-tech caps for carbonation are one of the big selling points here if you are choosing that method, if using pre-made seltzer to mix with than these caps are not needed. The Not-So Good: I was a bit underwhelmed with the amount of contents for the price point. This kit only makes about Two - 2Liters of root beer. As the directions state, if not naturally carbonating then the yeast and carbonation caps are not needed. But you will need some kind of bottle to mix/serve out of. Also you will need salt and vanilla extract to complete this kit. Overall a good quality gift but I don't see purchasing this more than once due to the price.
Not quite the taste I remember but it was pretty good a little sweet.
Fun and worth the purchase if a root beer fan.
It was a fun idea for my son for a gift. He loved trying his hand at making his own root beer.
i like that it was delivered promptly.
$49 to make 2 liters of soda that was so so. Way overpriced! This should not cost more than $9 just to have the kids experiment a little. Be prepared to clean up afterwards. Not worth it, save your money
Spent the extra time to caramelize the sugar. Took 20 hours for 2 liters to firm up. 18 hours later we tested - flat. Yeast in the kit expired 7 months ago - 5/2024. Did not notice expiration date until post brew. $18 per 2 liter of flat rootbeer. Not worth it.
So I originally bought this because it was a cool concept to be able to make my own root beer but also the selling point of it all was the description there's so many different things that came with this in the description, but when I received the package. None of it was in there. The only thing that was in my package was, what was in the picture so I feel like I bought it under false pretense and returned it unfortunately so beware. The reason I bought it was for the picture I attached which is the description seller advised me it was Walmarts fault that the description was inaccurate.
