When I first opened it I thought the handle was too short and the metal was too thick and I really didn't think I would like it. But once I started using it I realized how much I really liked it. I've with eggs, burgers and vegetables and it works great. It's comfortable in my hand and has become my go to spatula.
This Craft Kitchen Fish Turner is just what I needed and didn't even know existed before I found it and now I can't live without it! I recently have been eating more fish specifically salmon and before when I tried to use a regular spatula my fish would always break or flake easily. This fish turner is a game changer and helps my salmon come out perfectly. At the bottom it is curved so it can easily get right under the fish. I definitely recommend this product and do not know how I even cooked fish without it before !
I'm not sure why this is called a fish turner. Yes, it works great on fish but i use is it for serving many other food items, such as meatloaf, pork chops, hamburgers, and pancakes. It is very light to hold but is very strong. I like it so much i bought another one for my daughter.
Pros: + Long enough to pick up a whole fish fillet. + Handle feels just right in my hand. + Flexible. Cons: + None so far! I don't know why I didn't add this to my kitchen tools previously. It works so much better than a short flexible or long non-flexible turner for things like fish fillets.
This is the best alliance I never knew I needed! I bake fish all the time at home, especially as a healthier option and I've been using my regular spatula to do that. Well no more, because this CraftKitchen angled blade makes it easier to get my fish off the pan without it being apart. It works well for a lot of other things as well, like hamburgers, cooking eggs, even steak. I'm definitely happy to add it to my collection and throw out a few older, plastic utensils that this now covers!
I have been so pleased using this metal spatula. For years I have used plastic spatulas and was surprised to find a metal spatula so much easier to use. It does not bend when lifting heavy pieces of food like lasagna or large pancakes, and is so easy to use. The tip is beveled like a knife, so I don't need a knife to cut first. If you have nonstick pots and pans, you may need to be a bit more gentle using this spatula. It is now my first choice of spatulas. Truly a quality product and it cleans easily in the dishwasher.
Nice turner. But it can be used for turning more than just fish! It can be used for eggs, burgers, or whatever. It a good length....12 inches long, end to end! Has good sturdy weight, also. Layered riveted handle that joins the angled stainless steel slotted turner with hidden rivets. It is also Dishwasher safe, which I love!
Feels like this will last forever. Well made with strong materials. The handle is strong and the metal of the turner also. Reminds me of the old timey ones from way back. Easy to use and get under what ever you are flipping. It's also good for stirring in the pan.
I love this flex turner! It's about 12” in length, and about 3” at the widest point. It has just the right amount of flex. I use it for nearly everything I fry in my cast iron skillets. It's great for pancakes, eggs/omlets, meat, fish and vegetables. The slots are good for allowing the grease to drain off food when you left it from the pan/skillet. The slightly turned up end helps keep food from sliding off. I love this type of handle. It doesn't allow water to leak in like some of the others do. This flex turner is well-made and I expect it to last a long time. Obviously this is not for teflon type surfaces which can be scratched.
This turner is great for fish and other delicate foods. The only thing that raised a problem for me was the fact that it is metal. The majority of my cookware calls for non-metal utensils. But the shape and length of it, makes it so easy to pick up and flip foods. I would recommend this product to anyone who has metal pans or other material pans that can accommodate a metal spatula. It works well and would be a great asset to anyone who cooks fish a lot.
