Works very well with hard water
I have very hard water where I live and this really helped. I used it for the hello kitty humidifier for my daughter. I replace the filter every 2-3 months. Definitely makes cleaning the humidifier easier as well.

Great filter
It's a great product and I've definitely noticed that it's keeping the humidifier cleaner. We have very hard, mineral water and this has definitely helped with the longevity of the humidifier.

Don't buy this.
Before my review keep in mind I have been running my humidifier successfully through the night for 1-2 months. My first order was lost in the mail. I was refunded and ordered it again. The first night I put this filter in and waited 15 minutes per the instructions. Within an hour it set off the smoke alarm in my room, waking my family. I looked in the basin to see the water had turned a dark orange-brown. I'm throwing it away.
