I own 2 of these, they are great for drying filament while printing from the dryer. I use it for high emd CF filaments (PA612-CF, PPA-CF, etc.). even though the dryer only goes up to 70°c, as long as you're working with dry filaments, this dryer will keep the filaments dry while printing. It can also bring back rolls that have absorbed moisture, but you need to leave it on high for a few days. Considering it holds 2 rolls, has a fan, and is a great price - I love these dryers when compared to the high end 85°c, 4 roll ones that cost hundreds.
First off, I WOULD recommend it. I have some small issues, but overall it's great. Works as well as any other filament dryer, but all the cheap ones like this have a flaw; the humidity stays inside as it runs. Every hour you can open the top for 5 seconds and watch the humidity drop. To fix this, I just prop the lid open a cm or so. No problem with that. In fact, it goes up to 70 C and drys from 2 to 98 hours, so for most materials its perfect. The tubes at the top can be used to feed filament from, but they are at such a weird angle that it wouldn't work. You can 3d print different connectors and they work with or without the bowden tubes. I wish they could feed from the back, but you can mod this thing all you want. Lastly, when you change a setting like filament type or temperature, it resets the timer. So if you wanna change it mid-dry, remember what time you had left.
Great looking filament dryer. I love how it has multiple ptfe tube exits in the front and back. Is quiet and compact as well. Kind of pricy but really nice
A good basic dehydrator for all kinds of filament with specific details for each kind and the ability to change them. It works just fine as an all-the-time airtight storage with the added benefit of feeding the printer directly from it without having to open unit.
Overall, it was easy to assemble if you're a technically minded person. The instructions in addition to the videos are enough to figure it out. First timer here and already looking to upgrade to a multicolor unit. Maybe creality maybe not. I know I do NOT want to assemble one again, but the learning experience and price point was worth it. Be advised! The print time is quite slow! You have the option to speed it up but it seems to lower the print quality and finish of certain filaments.
Definitely dries the filament. would like to have something bigger but for the price its a solid machine
It does a good job drying the filament and maintaining enough tension on the line while printing to prevent unspooling. I wish they would have provided a cassette that holds the desiccant beads or an STL file that I could print. Dropping the beads into the wells and removing them to reactivate isn't an easy task.
i ordered 2 one for my newphew son i sent directly to him in fla and after setting it up does not work, the other i bought for my grandson havent fully set up yet waiting for fillment to come
Had issues right away with one side heating way less and slower, tried to write customer service back and fourth take this pic show us this do that nothing got figured out and customer service disappeared and just stopped replying. They really lack customer service with this brand. Wouldn't buy again!
spent three days still havent been able to make 1 print. messes up every try, sometimes hours into the print. no live troubleshooting, hard to set up, instructions no good
