I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter birthday because I use to love making rugs and wanted to share this with her. Before her birthday though, I bought another one for me so we could do it together. She loved it, I loved it!! Would recommend.

My 10 yo daughter loves this kit! She cannot wait to finish it and hang it in her room. The only drawback is directions are difficult to follow, but YouTube fixed that and she jumpedright in!

Great starter latch hook for kids or adults just starting out. Pattern is right on it so no need to try to count and figure out where to put the yarn pieces. Latch hook tool works very well.

Some of the colors included do not match the box and it ruins the project because it's not cohesive. It just doesn't look good. For $13 I expect better. Also, the instructions are TERRIBLE so you'll need YouTube to show you what to do. It's aged 6 but there's no way most 6 year old can do this. They don't have the patience or dexterity, and I'm pretty sure it's too many steps for them to remember and follow. I purchased this for myself, and adult, because the final result pictured on the box is adorable and I want to hang it on my wall! At least, I did. It will look ridiculous with the neon yellow they included and with a different blue for the pom-poms and ribbon that absolutely does NOT match. In very small print on the back of the box the company, of course, has a scammy disclaimer: "Colors and contents may vary. Images for illustrative purposes only." Don't waste your money! Note: The photos were taken after I spent over an hour separating the pieces of yarn by color. They come in little rolls with all the colors intermixed.
