It comes with enough materials to make two chains, and includes purple and pink strings, beads, and charms in separate bags, so you don't need to worry about how to design it, though you can definitely customize them if you want. It also comes with tools to help you thread the beads, and they're made of flexible plastic, which is much safer than using needles. My 6-year-old can do it by herself and she really enjoys it. It might take about 30 minutes for a child to make one keychain, but it's really fun and feels very achievable. The clasps are made of plastic but looks very strong. The charms are really cute and they can be mixed and match if you want.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were fun DIY Backback keychains. It was a mini set that only made two keychains but was perfect for my two daughters. It came with everything you needed to make two exactly like the box shown. Everything came packaged nicely and color coded for each braclet. My daughter's wanted to share each color so I just dumped them all out. It took about 30- 45 minutes. You can use your own beads and letters if you wanted something more personalize. It came with two bead threaders but they were flimsy and broke fairly quickly, but you don't need them to put the beads on. My girls loved these and it was easy to do and so cute. This does require adult supervision for cutting and tieing. Feels sturdy, the clasp is plastic and the tread is a thick wax string.

They're both very cute and fairly easy to assemble. The only thing stopping from 5 stars is theres not alot of custom options for it, if it had a few more beads and some different ones in it would make it perfect.

We did find a couple of the holes in the beads were way too small for the string therefore she wasn't able to use those pieces. I was given a free sample for my honest review.
