Creativity for Kids Grow 'N Glow Terrarium Kit - Capybara Summer Crafts | Educational Science Kits, Kids Gifts for Boys and Girls, STEM Projects (Ages 6+)

This thing is so cool!! It was actually my second time purchasing it. I bought it for my son several years ago when he was around 4, and although I thought it was the coolest thing, he didn't enjoy it quite as much so I wanted to try again when he was older. He's 9 now and he totally loved it!! super cool if you have a kiddo interested in that kind of thing.

This is a fun project for 9 year old girls. I should have been supervising in the beginning. The soil does go first then the sand layers. Then top is half covered with more soil to insert the small seeds. The critters go on top of the other half on top of white gravel. Mist sand to make it stay in one line as you layer it. Tamp it down with a spoon to set it good before adding more sand color. Mist that too before adding the soil and seeds and gravel. A small spoon will help deliver the soil on top to one side only then push seeds in gently and mist it all then set in creatures on rocks and water again to wiggle them into a nesting position. We dumped a little water from the mister bottle to dampen down to the bottom soil layer. It was fun once we mist it each day and check for growth.

My grandkids loved these terrariums! They are easy to construct. The only thing I would recommend is to use the entire contents on the terrarium and not hold back half for a second terrarium. There really is not enough of the colored glow in the dark sand for two applications.

This is an awesome hands on kit for children! It includes plenty of things to occupy time and for kids to have fun with and be creative. The colors are amazing.

This is a super cute set! My kids loved putting it together! The set came with everything you need and had a lot of seeds! There are enough to use many more times! The instructions were easy to follow and included pictures so the kids could do the activity almost completely on their own.

This terrarium was so easy to set up and it's so exciting to watch as it's going to be growing. I love that this is such an educational set up. It's got stickers and small animals to set up inside the terrarium. It's even got small rocks for inside. It doesn't come with a growth light but it can still grow without the light just not as quickly. It was truly a lot of fun to set up and lots of fun to watch grow. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family.

Gave 2 to 2 little boys, ages 6 and 9 as a gift at Christmas. THEY figured out following the instructions and within 3 or 4 days had roots. It has been 10 days and they are having a growing contest. From top of plants to bottom of jar, they are both at 8 inches tall. Excellent educational gift. NO mess and no odor!

My daughter loves capybaras and we got this for her as a gift, it's so fun and cute to put together but did not start to grow until after a few weeks lol (maybe we did something wrong?) but other than that it's cute

cute and had my kids attention for more then a day. it grows grass, not a cappyberra. i guess if ur a kid reading this product it means you can grow a actual cappyberra. my 9yr old was disappointed.

It was easy. However it has been almost a week and we have done everything and still nothing is growing? I also don’t see much of the glow so that was a let down as well for my 5 year old. I also think for the price they could include more of the sand.
