[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chalk reel works great! It feels sturdy in your hand and is easy to refill. The compact size makes it a great space saver for a quick grab tool bag. The hook grabs well and makes using it by yourself easy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a week ago i love it. Its super compact fits in my toolbelt with ease and winds up super fast. Works great so glad i purchased! Very effective tool. I would definately Tell others to purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this chalk line in the street applications. It is awesome because it's on my bill all the time I never have to look for it. The line is thin and makes a ver precise mark. My only complaint is I only have one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chalk line bundle is very well put together. The anchor end is made different from the others and holds very tight. The included chalk is very easy to see. Value is great because you don't have to purchase the line and chalk separately.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chalk reel seems well made and durable but the features that make it stand out are the 3:1 gearing to quickly retract the line and the crank release button makes it much faster and easier to pull the line out. Works great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works very well for its intended job, would definetly keep using, ran very easily to make the chalk line and easily visible, good chalk flow and marking. Tool is durable for everyday use on a construction site.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2 weeks ago from this date I this chalk line box. Its compact the line keeps chalking when other have to use more line from the box or get re reeled in/out so that shaves seconds upon mins doing. The hook is nice and sharp allowing me to get a 1 man chalk line on all kinds of material without an accidental disconnect from the hooked point. I adore this tiny thing just wish it had a clip so clip on my pocket vs looking for it in a pouch.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this sent to me from crescent to review. I am amazed how small it is first of all. Finally, a chalk line that fits in my pouch! Of course, the downside to being small is that you need to fill it up more. Not a huge problem for me, I dont snap lines very often. But for someone who does, its something to think about. Other great features besides its compact size include the button you can press that stops the handle from spinning around as you pull out the sting. Another plus to being able to move the handle without winding the string, is that you can reel it in, and move the handle to the right position to fold it up without overtightening or loosening the string. A small, but helpful detail. Quality is good, just like their tapes. I wouldnt be too worried if i dropped it from a story or two. Its easy to fill and the port stays closed. All in all, a nice compact chalkline.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little compact chalk line, build quality is solid and the braided line will hold up to abuse. Having the winding liver tuck into the body of the chalk line gives it a much slimmer profile to prevent it hanging on things in your tool belt or bag. My only small nit is that the little window for filling it with chalk was really hard to get closed back. It could just be an issue with the one I have. Overall it's a great chalk line for the money and I think it will hold up really well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first impression it seems like just another chalk reel but of a smaller size. It is styled after the new tape measure looks with the circular hand grip. I like the nonslip molded rubber exoskeleton and provides a decent grip. The length is 50' which is an ok length for most remodeling projects that a pro or “diy”er may need if they are trying to save on space in their tool pouch or apron. Seems to fit in my tool pouch nicely and is not small enough that it tends to get buried by other things. It does have nice action for the gearing to return line to housing. The 3x faster would be of opinion depending on whose competitor's chalk reel you would be comparing to. The chalk container included with your purchase is blue, 1.5 oz, #1 permanence, which is not considered staining. The chalk compartment door seems to be adequate allowing the tip of the chalk bottle to almost seal it so as you squeeze the bottle you don't get a big blue puff of chalk coming out. However, that is bitter sweet as it makes it darker inside the compartment so it tends to be a bit easier to over fill the compartment making it tighter on the line. The more aggressive tines help grip the edges of lumber and plywood. It also has the usual opening on the hook to loop over a nail or screw. The hook stowage area is also nicer than most others that I've used. Now for the most important part of a chalk reel review… How well does it hold chalk? It took three times pulling out at least 40' to load the line with chalk enough to get a chalk line when snapped. One down side is that the line never gets chalk on the first ½”, combine that with the length of the hook and you don't get a chalk line for the first 1-1/2” when snapped. As for holding chalk, I could only get two lines snapped on an 8' sheet of plywood per chalking which would not be comparable to others that I have used. In the end, I would have to say “It's just another chalk reel but, with some nicer standard features”. I would recommend, but don't be fooled by the American flag on the packaging. This is American designed and produced in China.
