Crescent Z6548 8in. Z2 Long Nose Dipped Handle Pliers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these pliers exclusively for the past several weeks on the job and I am incredibly impressed. This tool is incredibly well designed and useful in so many ways. Usually these tools are designed for delicate work, not these. I had no problem cutting through 10 awg sheathed cable. Zero hand fatigue when using them. I would never think of tightening a bolt with a pair of long nose pliers. But these were made for it, the grip strength is outstanding. I also used them to pull long runs of wire through crowded conduit. Never slipping once! And possibly the nicest feature of all is the handle grips. They are very comfortable to use, and they don't slip off like other brands. And if you notice, the tool image is printed on the end of the pliers. So when I am searching through my tool bag I know exactly what I'm reaching for. I love these pliers and highly recommend them.

The nose is longer and more narrow than standard "needle nose" pliers, which means I can reach farther into narrower places. The handles are dipped, which means no rubber grips to slip off. The cutter is very sharp and works very well. I think I will keep this set around for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am used to needle nose pliers that can not pinch at the tips due to manufacturing defect/design, and wire stripping, being mediocre at best. But with the Crescent needle nose pliers, I have new expectations of needle nose pliers. The Crescent needle nose pliers have a tight locking tip, that after pinching several lock clamps, slip joint fittings, etc., still out pinch anything else I've ever used, even when the other tools were brand new. These things are absolutely amazing. And stripping wire used to be scary in that often times, stranded wire would have several strands damaged, using other needle nose pliers strippers. The Crescent needle nose pliers did not damage the wire, though it easily could cut thru the wire, having extreme control in your tool, makes it so simple to complete the mission at hand. If you use your needle nose pliers like I do, Crescent needle nose pliers are now going to be my go to needle nose plier, and it should be yours too!!!!

The handles are angled perfectly for all jobs and the dip is solid and does not move. The jaws are cut well too! Nice deep groves hold on to whatever is needed to be gripped. Well done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my pliers for 2 weeks. I am a maintenance mechanic at a plant that makes tread for recapping tires. Every opportunity I used these pliers. They are very firm with no flex in the handles when squeezing to hold fastenersor to cut wire or cables. Running 12 gauge wires or trimming groundcable, they have done every task with ease.

I am a boat mechanic by trade and have found these pliers to be extremely useful in my profession. Whether it be cutting or stripping wire or reaching in to areas my hand doesn't fit. The serrations on the jaws offer good grip without marring the surface and the cutting edge is sharp. My only negative is the handle coating. It is too smooth and gets slippery if you have any oil on your hands. A textured finish would make them much easier to use. Overall they are a winner.

Excellent grip with a long reach, fantastic wire cutting, and ability to turn or hold random sized nuts and bolts. This is a handy tool to keep in the box and has a great deal of versatility.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the overall balance of the tool. The different parts of the head sure came in handy. My only complaint is the grip. I was hoping in the longer length it would have a better handle wrap. The old style thin plastic on the grips isn't bad I'd just prefer a thicker grip as I have bigger hands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great set of needle nose pliers. Either jaws are extra long and have no play in the movements. Nice crosshatching for a firm grip along with a large list of other hidden features you don't find on most needle nose pluers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pliers work well but the handles get really slippery when you sweat. Sleek design but the handles need more grip. The nose length is great and they are lightweight they fit in to many tight spaces easily
