This was an upgrade gift for my daughter who loves her Cricut machines. She loves it! Would be nice for Cricut to come up with an edible printing solution for home bakes or small businesses. Not everyone can afford the next grade of edible printer options for almost $3k. Walmart dis a great job with fulfillment and delivery. Thank you 😊 🙏
Explore 5 is so new and exciting to me. I last bought the explore air in 2016 The machines are so different. I hope I get as many years of joy with the 5 as I did and continue to get from my explore. The bundle is packed with everything you could possibly need to get started right out of the gate! Im looking forward to getting plenty if use out if my premium membership. Im all set!
Purchased this new Cricut machine for Mother's Day and I love how Cricut provided materials to get crafting out of the box. The machine cuts at a faster rate than previous explorer machines. It's a great starter machine for the occasional or experienced crafter. Made a t-shirt with iron-on vinyl, stickers for my daughter, and car decals with materials provided.
I upgraded from the explore air 2 to the explore 5. The 5 cuts so much faster. I love the low profile design and that I don’t have to hit start at the beginning of every cut. The fact that it be reads the material and just starts cutting it great! Very user friendly. I would recommend this machine to anyone!
Happy with machine, the bundle was great, there are a lot of options to get you started and really get to know the machine without having to buy anything else.
I bought this after just buying the joy extra to do larger project. Never using a maker or explore before i didnt bother about the issue with changing the blades/scorer etc as i was used to it from the joy. Fast speed and good cut. Much louder than the joy xtra but that was expected being a much bigger machine. My only dissappointment was the first time i used the pen i realised i could not leave the blade in like the other machines as the clamps are not independent like on previous machines but one solid mechanism. This means if you dont take the blade out that it also cuts the writing out about an inch to the right of the writing so be warned if you want to leave the blade in while you write then this is not the machine for you, if however you are happy to only use one clamp at a time then its a brilliant option. If i had known about this issue i would definitley have bought the explore 4 instead but after buying 2 machines in a month i wont be buying a 3rd lol. Overall i am more than happy with the machine and it only lost a star due to the clamp issue
This machine is a lot faster than my previous one I've liked it so far so good, great cuts, great speed! But why does it have a hole on top? It gets so dirty and im stressing out... I have to buy a cover for it... I liked the previous design better just on that detail.
Like the size of the machine and weight. Miss the on and off button. It's a pain pulling the cord from the machine when I am finished. I prefer to keep the cord attached to the machine. Disappointed the color pens do not fit. That is the only disappointment I have about the machine.
The machine is great and works very well. Very crisp cuts, fast, precise. Quality of the output is great. My issues are with the applications running it. I've had it freeze up on me where it will not finish through to the printer/cutter. Moving files around, reorganizing, etc is not user friendly. The app will not allow me to delete files. I think there is a lot of room for improvement in the app to make usability, creating, organizing, etc more user friendly.
I purchased this with high expectations, but it doesn't cut all the way through. I contacted support, and after spending nearly 3 hours troubleshooting and feeling like I was being blamed for the issue, they finally agreed to send a replacement cutter. I'm hoping that solves the problem, but I'm not very confident at this point. I have a feeling I'll end up spending another few hours with support if the replacement doesn't fix it.
