This is a GREAT little machine! My first project was a vinyl wall quote that was 50” x 73”! I used 10’ rolls of permanent smart vinyl. The machine cut it all out faster than I expected! I’m SO HAPPY with this little machine! I can’t wait to try stickers for my kids!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been testing the Cricut Joy 2 Essential Bundle, and it’s a big step up from the original Joy. The scoring tool and Print Then Cut were the standout features for me. They really open up more project possibilities. It’s simple, compact, and easy to start using right away.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I absolutely loved the portability of the original Joy, but found the fact that there were a few of my favourite features missing was limiting my creativity. I am thrilled that the Joy 2 has the score feature and love the precision of the scoring since the tool is in the same clamp as the blade. I also find that the new Print then Cut feature is absolutely brilliant. You can still print on a sheet of 8.5" by 11" material and then cut everything by just following the prompts. I also love the fact that this bundle has so many tools and materials. As soon as you open the box, you are ready to begin.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely loving the PTC feature on the Joy 2. The on-screen prompts were fantastic and it walked me through every single step and showed exactly what was coming next - there was zero guesswork. I especially loved how it clearly labeled each side (1 and 2) and gave an exact line to cut the sheet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened this box, my very first thought was, “Well, this is just the cutest!” Right on the heels of that was needing to take it out for a few test spins. I’ve tried regular cutting, used the card mat, and even tested out the new Print Then Cut feature. Print Then Cut on this little machine is a game changer! I think it’s going to be an incredibly attractive feature for all users. The cutting precision is amazing. In fact, while cutting a sheet of stickers, I accidentally selected the wrong setting and the “die” cuts didn’t cut cleanly. Since I had nothing to lose, I decided to try again. I fed the sheet back in and re-ran the cut — I was shocked! It tracked back exactly over the original cut lines. I know that kind of perfection isn’t guaranteed, but I also think it has a much better chance of happening on this machine than with the previous Joy. The mat guides are very snug, and that’s a really good thing! Another huge plus? I was able to use all of my previous Joy and Joy Xtra tools and pens with this machine. That means I already have a full collection of tools ready to play with — no waiting required! I’ve always loved taking my Joy on vacation with me, and now I’m thinking this new Joy 2 will be even more travel-friendly since it’s a little smaller than the original. And I almost forgot to mention scoring! This new feature for the Joy line opens the door to even more creative project possibilities. This little machine is cute, capable, and full of potential. I can’t wait to keep creating with it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cricut Joy 2 is such a fun upgrade to an already great little machine! The redesigned model is 30% smaller, making it perfect for small projects and tight crafting spaces. It’s also incredibly lightweight, which makes it easy to take on the go for crops, classes, or crafting with friends. One of the biggest upgrades is that it now supports Print Then Cut — a game changer for a compact machine like this. And as an added bonus, it can now score as well, opening up even more possibilities for cards, tags, and dimensional projects. It may be mini, but it’s definitely mighty. Cricut is also offering fantastic bundle options at a very affordable price, so you can start creating right out of the box. No more realizing you still need a mat or basic tools after you get home. Depending on the bundle you choose, you’ll have almost everything you need to complete multiple projects. This is the perfect machine for beginners, crafters with limited space, or anyone looking for a thoughtful and practical gift.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Cricut Joy 2 and didn't really expect to love it the way I do! Right out of the box it is beautiful and very professional looking. It would look great on any desk, and is even smaller than the original Joy. This machine is Print Then Cut capable and with it's small size I was so intrigued on how this would work and so the first project I made was some fun print then cut stickers using the printable vinyl that came with the Essentials kit. I absolutely love that it uses the full size of 8.5x11 material for the print but then you simply cut it down the middle and load it on 2 mats. I calibrated the machine which was lightning fast compared to how the other machines calibrate. The process has been super refined and was very fast. The cuts were spot on! I love that this can be done with such a small machine! One of the first things I noticed is that when you load your project, you no longer have to press go on the computer screen. It has a new Load and Go feature and once the machine takes the mat and measures it, it goes right to cutting or scanning. What a time saver! Another great feature of the Joy 2 is that it can score!! It comes with a scoring blade and the cutting blade! I was very excited to test this feature out and it scores beautifully! No more changing score lines to foil! I have run this little guy through every type of project I could think of and it passed with flying colors. It writes, cuts, scores, foils, and can do Print Then Cut! It cuts cardstock, vinyl, faux leather and more! The creative possibilities are just amazing! All the existing Joy tools are compatible with this machine from the blade, the foil tool, and the pens! There is a whole lot of power packed into this mini but mighty machine. It even fits in the old Joy carrying bag and is so easy to take from place to place! If you are a beginner looking for your first machine or if you are a pro who has every machine from the Venture to the Joy Xtra, you will not want to miss out on owning this machine! Mine came with the essentials kit and had me ready to start creating right out of the box. The supplies in this kit blew me away from the materials to the tools. I was set and ready to go instantly! I could not possibly recommend this machine any more! It is a definite must have and a great starter machine for sure!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be too excited about this little machine, but I was wrong. This little thing is a beast! The cuts are amazing in precision and depth. I love that it only weighs a couple pounds, so easy to transport. I can literally fit the Joy 2, mats, and supplies in a tote bag, making it the perfect machine for mobility. The calibration and print then cut feature worked flawlessly as well. Well done Cricut!
I really like my Cricut Joy 2! It’s so cute in coral and great for portability and quick, small projects. However, I will say that if I purchased this machine asa first machine before I purchased my Explore 4, then I would have been turned off if Cricut products because this machine is a bit slow; I would have rather had an option to hook it up to a computer. Also, I would have preferred that there would be power and load /unload buttons. These are easy to overlook because it isn’t my main machine.
Couldn't get it to connect or update firmware. Tried multiple devices including iPhone, android, PC, MacBook and iPad.
