I bought this machine after losing my Sixxiz Eclispe2 in a house fire in 2019. Since getting this machine the software to create in is okay compared to what I'm use to using but things change in 6 years 🤣.
I love our new Maker 4. I am so happy for all of the various Ava news of support when ever I have a question. Only difficulty was getting the pen holder out of A in order to put an adaptor holder in for a finer tipped pen. I needed to really push up hard and I hesitated to push that hard. It worked and all is well.
Purchasing My maker4 has been a tremendous blessing to my life. I started with a used maker and used it weekly for most of a year . It started having calibration sensor issues so I took the plunge and purchased my M4 I love it and look forward to learning more ways to create with paper, faux leather , Infusible ink, htv and other vinyl, stickers and infusible ink are just a few of the materials I enjoy working with.
I'm a small business owner and like to have my branding on a lot of things. I upgraded from my Cricut Explorer 2 to this Maker 4 and let me tell you, easy set up, fast cutting, capabilities to use Smart Vinyl without a mat and endless ways to use the machine is well worth the money! I was on the fence to get an Explorer 5 but with the Maker 4 I have more than 200 additional materials I can cut, with the addition to cut wood (thin sheets), engrave metal, emboss and deboss, cut fabric and so much more…it was well worth the additional $150 in my opinion. I've had my Explorer 2 for over 5 years before upgrading so these machines last. Can't wait to see what I can do for my brand!
The Maker 4 is a definite upgrade from my original Maker that I had. I still use the cutting mat most of the time because that's what I am used to but it's nice to have the option of using smart vinyl. The Maker 4 is also a lot quieter than my Maker. I would highly recommend this machine even for beginners because Design Space is the same.
I have had the cricut maker 4 for about 1 month. This new world, to me is, let's just say, ALOT! haha. The website and you tubes videos have helped a great deal. I am enjoying the whole thing a great deal. My only frustration is the connection to the maker. Each time I am in the middle of a project, the maker becomes disconnected to the design space. Is this common? I haven't had time to log a ticket or check into the process of getting help if possible.
I like the maker 4 because it cuts faster, but the contour part of design studio does not cut the way you contour your image. In other words when you remove parts of the image some of the parts you removed still cut? I don't know if it just design studio our Maker 4.
New Machine has too may issues when its not the machine its design space with glitches and other problems now the new cricut maker 4 has scoring wheel issues and always have problems conecting with some one .
Design space is its Achilles' heel—so unwieldy, counterintuitive, clumsy. Please, dear company, improve the software!!!!! Better yet, don't use proprietary software at all!! I have to use multiple other programs to get my design ready to cut. That said, if I import a 100% ready-to-cut SVG file, the machine works beautifully at actually cutting.
I bought this a 1 month ago and I'm regretting everything I bought/ the software is pretty easy too use there machines a nother story bought it form the company but not working or not even feeding material in maker 4 I've been going through the process of the return and it's been taking a least a half a month for another too be processed it's just upsets that you buy this not so cheaper machine for it not too be even working win polling out of the boxs honestly I've seen other mechanics for better prices and more options for you to use with honestly upsets with me for not doing better resources and at the company for not producing better product for customers uses
