[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the new Cricut Maker 5, and I have to say, I'm really impressed. So far I've cut vinyl, iron-on, cardstock, fabric, leather, faux suede, veneer, chipboard, corrugated plastic, and so much more. Everything has cut beautifully, cut settings are spot on. I even tested some designs with incredibly tiny details, and I was amazed that it could even cut them and did so so cleanly. Just zips around cutting and drawing effortlessly. I did another foiling project with the best results I've had. The first thing I noticed is that it's a little smaller than the previous Maker models. I also love that there's no lid to open in top, so I can keep a shelf right above it. It's a great space saver if your craft room is anything like mine. Another feature I didn't think I'd love as much as I do is the single load/unload button. One button does it all, making it quicker. And can we talk about the Deep Slate color? I honestly wasn't sure about it at first, but now I'm obsessed. It looks so much prettier in person than I expected! So naturally I had to order all the matching tools, lol. The Maker 5 also comes with the engraving tip when you buy it, which is awesome. I've engraved acrylic, metal, and leather, and every project has turned out beautifully. If you haven't engraved before with your Maker, you must with this! There is so much you can engrave and they make such great gifts. The Print Then Cut accuracy has also been spot on from the start. Every one of my projects has lined up perfectly and it scans and begins to cut quick! Overall, Cricut made a lot of small improvements that really add up and somehow saved on teh cost, which I was happy to see. The Maker 5 takes up less space, costs less, comes with more then previous models and has handled everything I've thrown at it. It's quickly become one of my favorite machines, and I can't wait to see what else I can create with it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maker 5 gives me the speed and ease I love about the Explore 5, with the advanced capabilities I expect from a Maker. The cutting is fast and precise, and the engraving on my project came out beautifully with great detail and consistency. I really appreciate the precision of the machine and the versatility to move from everyday projects to more advanced materials and techniques. It feels familiar and easy to use right out of the box, and I absolutely love the blue color!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the privilege of trying out the brand‑new Cricut Maker 5 in exchange for my honest review, and I can confidently say this machine is a solid 5 stars. Cricut absolutely understood the assignment with this one. The upgrades from the Maker 4 are incredible the increased cutting depth alone opens up a whole new world of materials, and the engraving feature is a total game changer. The machine itself is noticeably quicker, smoother, and more precise, which makes crafting feel effortless. The new bundle options are fantastic, too. Right out of the box, I was able to make cards, shirts, and wall décor for my home and I still have plenty of supplies left to keep creating. It's the kind of machine that inspires you the moment you turn it on. If you're a maker who loves versatility, speed, and beautifully upgraded features, the Cricut Maker 5 is absolutely worth it. This is the machine that makes you excited to craft again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this new Cricut Maker 5! This machine does so much and the versatility of tools and materials it can work with is amazing. Having the extra clearance for deeper 3mm materials has been an added bonus to try more projects than I've done before. I've been able to easily cut through Cricut 2mm Chipboard, Tooling Leather, and 3mm rubber sheets among others. I have engraved so many acrylic and aluminum sheets with ease and I'm truly so impressed and intend to make personalized engraved gifts for the holidays.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this update to the Cricut Maker series. Cricut has given us the ability to cut materials and engrave items that are up to 3mm thick! That means I can cut 3mm corrugated plastic to make yard decorations and I now have many more options for objects to engrave. And let me tell you, it engraves like the wind. It's so much faster than my Maker 4 at that task, it's like Cricut super-charged it. The load and go feature has made print then cut faster, too. The machine doesn't sit and "think" before starting like the older machines, it just takes off which means the overall time to complete many projects will be much shorter. And even though it's faster, it's still absolutely precise. I get perfectly consistent cuts, even tiny ones, every time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always thinking Cricut can't make a better machine and I'm always wrong. Sleek and smooth. Ability to handle 3mm materials opens so many doors for new blanks and materials. My favorite is cutting Amazon cardboard for projects. ❤️ I love the Maker series and the adaptive tools. I use the knife and engraving blade for so many projects. I'm going to engrave so many Christmas ornaments this year. I'm really excited about this new machine. It is so precise and versatile.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited for the Maker 5. to arrive on my doorstep. Set up was an absolute breeze. The color is a beautiful slate blue. It's more compact and only weighs 10 pounds. I bought is specifically to cut thicker materials, like wood, leather, corrugated plastic, and basswood up to 3mm thickness It is amazing how fast this machine is without losing any precision or consistency, and I can't wait to dive into engraving next.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Consistency in the cutting is impressive. The engraving is faster and the precision is remarkable. The scoring is more impressive than ever. And the versatility of the material you can use, incredible!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had lots of fun trying out the New Cricut Maker 5. I find it to be very versatile, cutting a wide range of materials from Fabric and Cardstock to Leather, Basswood and Veneer. Results have been clean and consistent cuts. I have specially enjoyed the engraving capacity. Its terrific that the scoring tool and engraving tool are included in this Essential Bundle but also great that we can use our adaptive tools from previous Maker machines. Love the new Slate colour and more compact size.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've made several projects using the M5 machine. My first project was a card and I noticed I had a longer scoring tool so that tore the paper but once that's resolved, there will be no issues. Very fast and efficient. I also made a project that I use the engraving tool for the very first time. I only the Maker series, but I've never engraved before. Getting your image centered is the trickiest part. Everything else is a breeze. For the first time ever I cut mylar 7.5 mil Using the mylar setting. And my five point blade. I did have to cut a few passes, but I think that maybe it needs a custom setting.
