It is two separate compartments that can be unzipped to be used as a carrier for larger pets. The straps are padded nicely and it has a five point harness which makes it really easy to carry. We will be using this all of the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has solid seams and zippers plus multiple points of entry (top or front) for cats that may or may not willingly go in their carrier. It can function as one large carrier if you wish, but has separate compartments and fuzzy bases to make it comfortable and sturdy for two big cats (11 and 13 pound boys in the photos for reference). The side handles allow it for function as a backpack or a regular handheld carrier! As a bonus, it folds up and is super compact for storage.

You can use it as one big carrier or as two and the best part is you can remove the cover from the flooring to wash it. It's very light so really the only weight is the weight or your fur baby and another thing I love about it is that my fur baby loves it she didn't want to get out and she hates those regular plastic pet carriers so I thought I was gonna have to fight to get her in but nope I had to fight to get her out thank you I absolutely love this and so does Skye and I'm sure my cats will like being in a separate part from her to so it's great.
