Good record player

Sarah1689 December 8, 2020

This is my first record player and I love it! The directions for assembly were a little confusing but after that was all said and done it worked flawlessly. I had to go out and buy and little Bluetooth speaker to hear my records but it played them easily and clearly! The connection with the Bluetooth was a breeze as well. All in all I do recommend this product to anyone interested. I love it so far!

Neat

Lumpy December 12, 2020

My first record player at 29 years old and I obviously had to buy Queen. The only thing I'm not fond of and I didn't realize was you have to have a bluetooth speaker to listen to it. You can easily just find the song you want on whatever music app and go that route. But set up was easy.

Great idea

Love19 December 13, 2020

This is such a great idea. This is a bluetooth turntable that allows u to play ur vinyls and connect to speakers. Bluetooth compatible. Its such a great way to still value the past and bring it forward to the future. I wasnt sure how this was going to really work but it definitely did. It was simple to assemble. It's a name brand I'm familiar with. I'm so happy that such a device exists. I recommended this to many many people and they are thrilled as well. Great quality. I'm super pleased with this .

Really high quality

Jester December 15, 2020

I haven't owned a record player since the 80's. I've been wanting one, and was really excited to give this one a try. I have heard great things about Crosley record players, and from the moment I opened the box and started unpacking it, I was totally impressed. First of all, it is clear that this is a high quality record player, and is very well made with solid workmanship. That being said, since I have not owned a record player in decades, it took me a while to set it up, and the instructions were not very clear to me and it was a little frustrating for me to figure out. It comes mostly assembled, but I did have to put the belt on it and the counter weight. It could've just been me though, I'm not familiar with record players, nor am I mechanicaly inclined. That being said, I learned something new, and now if I had to set up another record player I could do it in seconds so here's that. Also, this record player only works with bluetooth devices or regular speakers to play the sound. If you do not have a bluetooth device or separate speakers to hook up to, it is silent when it plays. I didn't realize that. It comes with the little disc that goes in the smaller records too, which is nice. I tried pairing it to my phone to listen to it, but that didn't work for me, so I paired it to my bluetooth speaker and it was really simple and easy to do that part. Anyhoo, got it unboxed and set up and it really is very nice and high quality and played great. It really is fantastic! I'm a Crosley fan now! Well done!

Wow

NStar December 11, 2020

Very easy to set up and connect to our sound bar via Bluetooth. It sits below our TV and looks nice/sleek. We tried it out with a Metallica record, and it sounds wonderful!! We really love the Bluetooth capability for the speaker since we already have a nice sound bar.

Easy to use record player

MomOFour December 5, 2020

Crosley C6 Bluetooth Turntable is easy to setup and use! The quality of the record player is great and I have confidence that it will last me a lifetime. Considering it's Bluetooth, you can use any speakers- wired or not to listen to the music that you enjoy. The only downfall is getting more records for your collection, because this record player operates so well. Buy this one with confidence of having years of enjoyment!

Oh the nostalgia!

Karenc December 2, 2020

First, I want to say that I'm not a professional so I don't know any of the technical terms used to describe the pros and cons of this turntable. I'm a regular music lover with a treasure trove of vinyl records in my moms attic which I couldn't wait to listen to. A lot of the records are from the 90's so there's a lot of bass and they sound great on this turntable. I followed the instructions and it was easy to set up and turn on and use. I'm ecstatic and totally nostalgic being able to listen to these records. Do not make the mistake of bumping into the turntable or the record will skip and that is not a good feeling. From what I've experienced, this turntable sounds great and is easy to set up. Very enjoyable.

Back to my childhood

MichelleO December 13, 2020

I remember growing up to this! Now having the possibility to have one is awesome. The item won't come with any sound speaker, so make sure you get a good one, because that absolutely will make the difference. Sound is fantastic with my speakers and this even give a very classic touch to my decor. It does make a great gift, specially for people who grew up using them.

Difficult setup for beginner-wonderful after that

Tehpoot December 17, 2020

This is my first time dabbling in turntables/record players. Let me start by saying, if you've never assembled anything like this, or at least used one on your own, you're likely going to have the same troubles I did in the set up. Thankfully I have an uncle who collects records, and I employed his help to ensure everything was in its place. He also brought vinyls for me to use to test it out. It was so amazing to hang with him listening to records, and relaxing just like he did with his buddies at my age...oh who am I kidding, they were probably half my age when they hung out and listened to records lol! The turntable came partially assembled. The tonearm was on, with the counterweight attached. I suspect people were having difficulties in placing the counterweight properly because the limited instructions mention to slide it onto the back of the tonearm, I didn't have to bother. Honestly that was for the best, I had enough trouble with the rest! The turntable hub, which I'll call a wheel, was also attached, this is where the platter sits, the thing the record actually goes on. There was also a metal spindle sticking up, which is the pulley. There is only one small section on one page for the initial set up of this machine. I am NOT a layman when it comes to new technologies. My first household computer didn't come until I was 14. I've grown up learning how to use all these new devices. THIS is a whole other thing. I know its not a new technology, but some clearer directions sure would have helped me with this new-to-me technology. Might I suggest a QR code linked to a in depth video of unboxing, assembling, and testing this turntable. It could be somewhere on the box, or in the instruction booklet, but my goodness would this have been helpful. The first 5hing i did was to slide the cover into the brackets, this was the 3asiest part of the set up!! Here's where that changes. Poblem number one- where exactly to put the belt. I knew it went around the bigger wheel to control the platter, but how/where to attach it to the spindle was where I had an issue. There is no picture to show where on the spindle you place the belt. The kit comes with some round pulley-looking-thing, and the directions, and partially assembled picture they give on the first page to name the parts, make it seem like this round piece goes on top of the spindle, and that the belt wraps around the wheel AND that pulley. I slid that wheel onto the spindle,, but it didn't hold itself in place, so I knew that couldn't be right. The directions say there is a tool to help get the belt on the pulley, I know how to do things like this from car maintenence, this tool is not needed here. The belt stretches very easily around the spindle and the turntable wheel. So easily, I was again questioning whether that other pulley-looking-piece was indeed to go on the spindle. I searched up a YouTube video, and while I didn't find a video on this specific machine, I did find one close enough to make me a little more confident in my belt placement. However, this is when I left the belt as I had it, and called my uncle. I really didn't want to mess this up. I know if not set up properly I could have broken something and that would have devastated me. So I informed my uncle I'd need him to bring the vinyls and stay awhile haha! When he came over he informed me I'd done a great job on setting up the belt, and the cover which went on easily enough. He also had no idea what that other pulley-looking-thing was for. I had the belt a little too high up on the turntable wheel(hub) and he helped me adjust it to be more centered. I'm including a picture of my belt placement in hopes this helps the next guy. If you can get past these few hurdles, this turntable is honestly fantastic. Don't let its setup discourage you! Next order of business was to get the tonearm settled. As I said before, the counterweight was already in place. Next thing was to take the tie off the center, and the cover off the needle. Here's the next problem. The cover was taped on, with industrial style tape. When I carefully pulled the tape, off came the cover as well. Unfortunately, off came the needle with the cover and the tape. Now had I not had my uncle here, I'd have thrown away that needle thinking it was all part of the cover, and been royally screwed. We didn't actually notice yet that the needle had come off, still snapped in and attached, to the plastic cover, all stuck to the tape. We went ahead and balanced the tonearm, something we didn't even need to do actually. The steps for doing this in the book are also confusing. They use terms in the instructions assuming we know, but if this is your first of these players, you don't know anything! Basically, we just slid the counterweight forward fully, toward the needle end, and didn't bother twisting it or getting it to float freely like the book suggested. Im not honestly sure if once we got it all going, my uncle adjusted it further or not. At this point, we put the platter down on to the turntable wheel(hub) spindle; there is a hole in the center, and it lines up pretty easily onto the hub and over the pulley. We turned the player on, and moved the speed button to 33rpm. Viola!! it was moving! It was at this point we knew I did indeed get the belt right. So satisfying haha. So we stopped it from spinning, and put on a record, good ole' Bob Dylan, and got it spinning again at 33rpm. We unhinged the safely clip, lifted the tonearm, and moved it slowly onto the record, releasing the lever so it set down. He set it right on the edge of the vinyl, I'm not sure I wouldve done that on my own. And SCCCRRRATTTTTCHHHH. Boy did he lift that arm off there so quickly. At this point my uncle and I are both discouraged, and my husband and our best friend are both over here trying to see whats up. My uncle asks if there is a needle on the arm.....well yeah I'm sure there is right?? So I look under there and WRONG!!! All that's there is a flat metal surface. Well geez. The only thing I can think is it fell off or something. Then I get the idea to check the needle cover, and lo and behold, the needle is in there, plastic cover and all. Ugh. The instructions do one thing well, make you terrified of touching the needle itself. So I very very carefully pulled off the tape and popped off the small plastic cover, and put the needle on until i hear a 'click'. Great! Must be ready now, right? WRONG AGAIN. We again get the vinyl spinning, and my uncle carefully goes to place the tonearm. SCRAAAATCH. Oh boy.... he noticed the needle moved a bit. At this point I need to step away. When I come back in 5 mins all the boys had figured out how to click the needle in to proper place and it layed on the record as it spun nicely. Phew, thank goodness!! Finally we are ready to set up the Bluetooth speaker. For some reason it took a few times to pair it to our speaker. Im honestly not sure why. We would power up the player, push the Bluetooth button on the speaker, they would blink, and then stop without pairing. At that point we would turn off the speaker, and the machine, and try again. After the 5th time or so they just decided to be friends, and the speaker paired with the player. LET ME TELL YOU THAT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!! Just wow wow wow!!!! The sound of the vinyl rang through that speaker and its the most beautiful blend of old and new you could ever ask for. We did keep the turntable at 33rpm, and just enjoyed the fruits of our labor. Had this company taken the short amount of time to have an instructional video for beginners such as myself , or at least clearer instructions with better diagrams, this is absolutely a 5 star product! I'll be using this for so many years to come. I can not wait to build a vinyl collection.
