This is a beautiful, very sturdy, heavy construction and well made chair. We are very pleased with it. However, it was difficult to put it together. You really do need two people, as it is cumbersome for one person to do it alone. Also, the instructions were in very small print and not that clear to read and look at the diagrams without a magnifying glass - for us anyway. That said, it is a great product with a beautiful finish.....
Love this outdoor chair. It is just the right size and I like the retro look. I am 75 and I put it together myself except for the last screw set - I needed another person to compress the arm down while I inserted the screw set ( I suppose a younger, stronger person could do it by themselves )!
I bought two if these for around our firepit. These are great. They seem sturdy and have a good, thick coating of paint on the metal. It does help to have a second person to hold the chair when attaching the bolts through the arm/leg piece to the chair seat. These came promptly and were well-packed. I would order them again for sure!
Great historical type chairs. Very strong.
I was very pleased with the quality and look to these chairs.
I read a review that said you need extreme pressure to put these chairs together.. poppycock. I am nearly 60 years old and except for the fact that I needed my husband to hold the back and seat while I put the bolts in the legs, I was able to do this by myself. Only thing I couldn't get on was the protectors for the bolts and nuts..they just would not go one,but they seem to be more of an aesthetic issue and not really part of the function of the chairs.
Had some dings in the paint job. Definitely need two people to put together. Love the color.
Now don't get me wrong, it's comfortable to sit in and assembly wasn't the worst I have ever had to do. I bought 2 and one of the back leg attachments didn't fit well. I had to have 2 people help hold it together to get the last seat screw in. The thing that makes me give it a 3 instead of a 5 is the color. I got the green and, in the picture it looked like a soft green. Mine are more neon grass. Like instead of green, they are GREEN!!!! For the price I would like to not be fantasizing about painting them right after I got them.
the holes where the bolts go, are way to close to the edges and are under the lips. its difficult to use the cheap tools they have included. if you mannage to get them on each side they get lidged under the lips. there needs to be more room to maneuver the tools around.
The chair is very attractive but extremely difficult to assemble. The directions even indicate one needs to apply tremendous pressure and tension in order to attach the arm to the chair. Should not have to be so difficult.
