[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It came right on time because all I didn't know that I had an item that needed cleaning. My record player that I got recently with Bluetooth is the perfect saw to use with this cleaning products so I'm excited
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a ton of old records this Goo works wonders. It pulls up all the dust that has collected on the record over the years. It really gets into the grooves and collects all the old grime. My records are looking and sounding better than ever. I'm not sure how long the goo will last. I have used it on at least 30 of my records in the past month and it still looks the same.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my daughter a record player for Christmas and she loves it. The only thing I didn't get her was record cleaner. So I saw this and picked it out for her and she loves.it.it works so good on cleaning her records.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I am very adamant about keeping my records dusted and kept in their sleeves, but of course sometimes one gets left on the player and if we don't use it for awhile then I have a dusty record on my hands. The groove goo gets virtually all the dust out of the grooves and is a great way to keep your records performing as they should.
So this type of record cleaner isn't new (and it's a proven way to fairly effectively both clean and reduce static charge on vinyl). Given the difficulty of purchasing Pro-Ject's product of this type here in the states, I was hoping to use this as the alternative. Unfortunately, the consistency of this product (other reviews note this as well) is just not substantial enough. The upshot is that it gets all over your hands and stays there - making a huge mess as you're trying to deal with rolling this on your record and then starting the turntable, etc. I'm sure the cleaning effect is just fine - it's just fairly unusable from an overall functionality standpoint.
Complete garbage. Cleaned 8 records and it is sticking to everything it touches and coming apart. End up with a layer of it stuck on my hand. Don't waste your money
What a handful of slop! Waste of cash. It's like putting snot of your vinyl when you are dabbing it on. Didn't clean anything.....just the opposite actually
DO NOT BUY!!! WILL GET STUCK EVERYWHERE!!!
I couldn't even use it, it molded already and only had it for about 2 months.
Bought this today at a record store to give it a try and for some reason, it wasn't holding together. I couldn't get it to hold together. Made a royal mess. After a minute, it seemed to come off cleanly in spots, but wasn't doing what I hoped. Difficult to use.
