Crosley Kettle Classic Corded Desk Phone

I bought both this Chrome kettle desk phone & the chrome look pay phone telephone & I love both of them! I like the old fashioned rotary dial look - it doesn't actually turn. It's still push buttons/touch tone. I like the sound of the old fashion ring as well.

I needed a landline phone for power outages since my other phones are all cordless. There weren't any landline phones in my local Walmart so the associate suggested I go online. I'm glad I did. I was about to purchase a phone from Pottery Barn for about $20 higher when I found this similiar, if not the same, phone and saved $20 bucks in the process. The sound quality is excellent and the classic look goes well with my bedroom antique furniture.

It's a simple landline phone. Pretty much unchanged for a century. I like the retro look. It's working fine.

This phone is solidly made and worth the money. I had another vintage phone which was made of cheap plastic and it was so flimsy the handset fell apart. This phone has the heft of the phones I remember from the 50's. The styling is very good too with authentic details. Push button convenience eith a classic look.

I'm sorry to report that I returned the Kettle Phone. It is so beautiful but it lacks a ridge or something at the back of the phone to allow the owner to pick up the phone while talking on the handset. I guess in the streamlined design it was thought it might be too bulky to put a hand hold there?

Always room for improvement.

Nice & suits my purpose but chrome was scratched on receiver. Ring tone could be better and sound quality is average. My kids love it and it is nice to have a land line!

It is all what you are looking for. I love the look and design of this phone as it is very cute* However it is like when I was a kid and I put a quarter in the bubble gum machine and I was very disappointed because the toy I got compared to what was presented, was a plastic piece of junk. It is shiny plastic and no sound regulation, ringer on or off* and voice low or high* the high echos a conversation the low is too low to hear. It has a sweet old vintage ring, however cannot hold it on your shoulder as it is rounded and has no indention to carry around if needed> cute if you just want for , but esthetics not functional for a call more than 1 minute*
