Extremely fast
I'm using this drive in a Windows 8.1 machine with SATA III, and the boot times are incredible. I wish I had gone to a solid state drive much sooner.

breaths life into aging laptops
I have a couple laptops that are about three years old, and beginning to show their age. Particularly at boot and when loading various applications. Cloned their hard drives with the 256G Crucial SSD, using the Crucial cloning CD and connector kit. It went smooth as silk. Both computers are much quicker, and boot times have been reduced quite a bit. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to replace their old, electromechanical, winchester platter drive with a solid state drive. Money well spent.

Nice price, came with transfer software, easy upgrade from my old SSD. I've always had good luck with Crucial.
