I purchased 8 GB DDR3 laptop memory made by crucial. I had high hopes for this memory as a laptop I had recently purchased was painfully slow. It came stock with 2 GB I figured an upgrade to 8 GB would be a substantial boost in speed and execution. This product is also low voltage memory which is best suited for laptops to help with battery life. I searched multiple sites for the exact memory stated above and Walmart.com had the best price. I was extremely pleased with my purchase. I received exactly what I read about. PRICE: The price in my opinion through Walmart was below what the current market value for this type and size of memory. I paid approx. ten dollars less than the going price listed on other popular sites, including the maker themselves. INSTALLATION: I'm pretty computer savvy and figured it would be easy to install memory in a laptop. In the past I had only upgraded desktops. I was happy that with my brand computer (ASUS) it was exactly a two minute job. I recommend if you're running slower than normal don't let the install scare you away. SPEED: After installation of the memory I was very pleased with the speed boost I received. I highly recommend the same jump I made from 2 GB to 8 GB. The computer now runs flawlessly and has yet to hang up when multitasking. SHIPPING: My experience with the shipping of this product was pleasant. I received the product within two days with the site to store shipping option. The website allowed for tracking of the package. I like the ability to track, I feel like a kid when I get to see where my packages are in the world. PACKAGING: The box seemed a bit over sized but and the product was encompassed in layers of bubble wrap. Overall I was glad the company uses a larger box and lots of bubble wrap so the product doesn't become damaged in its travels.
My only expectation was to get what I ordered, get it without hassle, not overpay, and in the promised time. Met all.
Works as expected in my revived Toshiba Satellite model C55-A5104
Purchased 2 of these for an Asus U56E laptop. Asus states that maximum memory is 8 gig for this laptop, however, Intel specs for the chipset states it will support 16 gig. Installed the 2 new 8 gig sticks and all is well. Needed the extra memory for running virtual machines and now I can run several at a time with extra memory. U56E is running Windows 7 Ultimate. Hope this helps any one else with the same laptop and curious whether it will support 16 gig. Peace to all...
It works well, I had no problem installing it. The price is good enough for 8GB of ram. The PC has improved a bit and Im pleased with it
Received delivery promptly, in fact 1 day early. Poped into the notebook and it worked like a charm. So far so good - just about 2 weeks now.
I purchased this memory to reduce virtual paging. There is ample memory now, even with multiple browsers open. Great for picture editing as well. Easy to install, laptop recognized it on boot without going to bios setup. Delivery was fast, it came a couple of days early.
I Upgraded from 8GB To 16GB in my All-in-one PC. It was easy to do. I had no problems with the memory, I'm happy with my purchase.
DDR3 is too slow
