this is a must if you have an HDD, the speeds for reboot are incredible, and the write speeds are as proposed. i swapped the drives easily and transferred the OS with so much ease. A definite MUST also purchased a matching 8Gb Ram sticks and what a great purchase

I purchased this 1TB Crucial SSD to replace a smaller desktop PC SSD. After cloning and replacement all is working well. I've always had good luck with Crucial products, RAM as well as drives.

Replaced my dead HDD with a new Crucial SSD. It was very easy to slide the drive into the old bay and connect it to the existing cables. You will need an adapter bracket to fit the 2.5" SSD into the 3.5" bay. Windows installed flawlessly and very quickly from a USB Boot Drive. When the installation was complete I could not believe how fast Windows loaded to the desktop ready to go. It was like 15 seconds from the time I pressed the power button! Prior to this I actually would start the PC and go do something else for five or six minutes while Windows loaded --very slowly. Although the price was great--all things considered--the price of RAM and Storage has skyrocketed in the past year thanks to the voracious appetite of the AI market consuming mass quantities and leaving very little behind for everyone else. In fact anyone thinking of getting a Crucial SSD or memory should jump on it now because Micron has ceased making these devices for the consumer market early this year to devote all their resources into supporting the AI market. If you can find a BX500 it's among the last ever made and when they're gone, they are gone for good.

Working great so far! Had an open SATA port on my motherboard and an empty bay to place it in. Had an old mounting bracket and mounting screws to secure it to the bay, and an open/unused SATA power plug to provide power to the new drive. Also had a spare SATA data cable to connect it to the motherboard. So all worked out well.
